I am disappointed by how bookings.com treated me this time around. I booked an accommodation at Rest Camp Lodge in Swaziland for 12 people through them for an event that was going to take place on the 29th to 31st May 2020. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown, we had to cancel. I actually cancelled on the 17th March which means I have to get a full refund. I have been contacting bookings.com and the lodge and I don't get a response. I have not received a refund as well. The friends I booked for think I have received a refund but not giving it back to them. I was hoping that bookings.com is going to assist me in getting hold of the venue owners since they are contracted with them. They wouldn't have allowed business with them before doing a thorough check if they are a reputable business. I wouldn't advise anyone to use them since they do not offer their help when clients have a problem. As for the R3600 that wa paid by me, I need it to be paid back by the lodge. They were quick to debit from my bank account but refunding is an issue.
