I recently purchased a Ford Kuga 1.6 from Reventon Auto Pty Ltd. Since day 1 I have received excellent service from this dealership, especially from Barry Dewar who was willing to go the extra mile when I had queries about this specific vehicle. Well done Reventon Auto!!

11 July23 Ford Figo purchased from Reventon Auto in Sandton. Vehicle was in good condition, mechanically sound, just needed a spare wheel, which they commited to get. I was told that the vehicle had a full service history, which they would obtain for me in due course. In sourcing the spare wheel, they offered me new rims. I purchased the rims which did not fit. They took measurements and said that an engineer would machine the rims to fit. I paid for this to be done. Rims still did not fit. I was refunded the rim cost, but not the engineering cost. 13 Sept23 Spare wheel was finally provided to me. With no service history being forthcoming I opted to sell the Ford Figo, but struggled to sell the car privately withno service history. Potential private buyers also pointed out accident damage, which Reventon Auto did not disclose when asked. Reventon Auto denied accident damage and said they could "move it fairly quickly" forme. 03 Oct23 I left vehicle at their dealership to sell on my behalf. I was told not to cancel my insurance as the vehicle still belonged to me. 12 Dec 23 I am told vehicle has been sold but no payment received 15 Feb24: Scarce feedback on the sale of vehicle. Many phone calls and messages from me were either ignored or excuses made. Turns out my vehicle has been driven to KZN, without my permission, and got damaged along the way. I now have no idea who has been driving the vehicle, where it is and what condition it is in. Don't know how much mileage has been put on the vehicle - so vehicle is no longer in the condition that I gave it to them in.Still cannot get feedback from DP.

We had a very bad experience with this dealership. Our vehicle had problems from the first day we bought it. The dealership had the vehicle repaired but no courtesy car was offered while we waited more than a week to get the vehicle back. The final straw came when we again had a problem with the engine overheating. The dealership had it repaired and then notified us that we would be liable for the repair. This was without our consent to go ahead with the repair or without knowledge that we would have to pay for the repair. Only after the repair had taken place. The only positive here was the helpful salesman. Please be wary when dealing with this dealership!!

I brought a vehicle from them, on the of collection, the car had a electrical breakdown and three days later after the Dealership repaired the car, the car had a mechanical breakdown. The dealership is refusing to repair or refund my money.

On Saturday March 20 I bought an Alfa 159 from Reventon Auto for R135 000 cash I see today 01 May the very same car is listed at R159 000 Let me elaborate, the Saturday I bought the Alfa... I test drove the Alfa around some backroads and it went well and it looked very good the test drive was a short route but I didn't question it We got back to the dealership and I paid for the car instant EFT Whilst we were standing next to the car before I took delivery I heard mechanical noises emanating from the right front side of the car, Elvin the sales manager and person who sold the car to me said not to worry shouldn't be any issues, but do let him know if something comes up And then some...as I got onto the highway and accelerated to a higher top speed and then let go of the accelerator the car sounded like a truck, it was truly frightening. Not only that but there were clunks and clangs coming from the front of the car whenever I went over any speedbumps or rough roads Parking the car in the garage there was an overwhelming smell of petrol coming from the car So I let Elvin know and he said please bring the car in I then took the car back on Monday 22 March and met Richard the dealer principle there and asked for my money back, as I now was weary of the dealership He said rather choose another car or give them the opportunity to fix the car They offered me a Dodge to use while they repaired the Alfa which was great of them The Dodge on the other hand was in bad shape, the power steering sounded as though it was about to die, there were weird noises coming from the cubby hole area when starting the car, the amount of rattles when driving the car was truly worrying and the drivers door mirror was so loose I was concerned it was going to fall off and only days after driving it the service indicator came on So I left and waited for Elvin and feedback on my Alfa, he told me which company was going to be fixing it, the same folks who serviced it a while back I followed up with the folks who serviced the car a couple of months back by going through the service records and finding their details They alerted me to the fact that there are a number of things wrong with the car, and they told me that Elvin was alerted to all these issues beforehand The issues are, timing chain needs replacement, prop shaft needs to be reconditioned, gearbox needs to be reconditioned, fuel pump needs replacing, fuel switch needs replacing due to oil leak, I was flabbergasted I immediately contacted Elvin and told him all the issues that were told to me to which he reacted to by saying that I shouldn't be contacting the folks repairing the car and got quite defensive.....I had caught him lying red handed and he seemed to skirt the issues and was adamant only the timing chain, fuel pump and oil switch needed to be done and that he would order the parts as he could get them quicker in 2-3 days than the company fixing the car Fast forward nearly a month later and nothing has happened with the Alfa So I contact the company Elvin ordered the parts through and they tell me that the fuel pump and oil switch have arrived but not the timing chain...they still waiting. I am now frustrated and decide to contact Alfa Bedfordview and find out that the timing chain for this car has been discontinued, yet they give me a number for someone who is able to get a non-original timing chain in 24 hours. I advise the company that is repairing the Alfa to this fact and they mention that non-original timing chains cause issues And he advised me that when he spoke to Elvin nearly a month ago about ordering the timing chain that Elvin told him no he can get it cheaper and quicker, which we now see as utter nonsense The company that was going to fix my Alfa now reminded me that the prop shaft on the Alfa needs attention - he told Elvin this - and this would take weeks to rectify as the parts need to be ordered and only then can repairs be effected they also said that the Alfa is unsafe to drive in its current condition - the condition it was sold to me in He also reiterated that once the parts arrive significant time would be required as the timing chain repair takes quite some time to effect At this point I wanted out from the Alfa and called Richard and to my surprise he answered my call and agreed to meet me at the dealership the next day at 10:00 I arrived at 10:30 and decided I need to go straight into his office to talk to him, as on previous attempts to talk to him he says he is busy and doesn't come back to me. As I walked into his office he said he was busy and that I was late, I pursued the matter and he suddenly became aggressive and said if I don't leave his office he will throw me out the dealership, I've never seen this behavior from a dealer principle before. I decided to back off and wait for Elvin. I asked Elvin for a refund and again I was declined this. The stock value in the dealership including Richards personal cars on the lower level runs into many millions, I'm still confused as to why a refund was not possible for me. Eventually I decided, reluctantly to choose a Polo Vivo GT (what can go wrong with these cars) which I knew wasn't very healthy, I could hear this as the car started, but I truly wanted to put this experience behind me A week later I collect the Polo and lo and behold it has issues. As I'm driving home the gearbox crunches when changing from 3rd to 5th, the radio is partly broken. The aircon doesn't work. The rattles and engine noises are worrying to say the least, my nightmare continues In closing I want to relate my personal experience of this dealership to other folks out there, please be conscious when choosing where to by your car from Reviews on Hello Peter are a very good starting point

This dealership has no integrity, I bought my BMW X1 from them and 1 day later it leaked oil, they refused to take ownership to fix the leak. It took them 3 months to give me my ownership license papers after paying so much money for the car. Run away from them.
