DISGUST AT RIETVLEI DAM!

<p>Good day sir/madam</p> <p>On Friday 4th of February 2017 we (4 adults , 1 child , 2vehicals) arrived at Rietvlei dam entrance at 17:30 .</p> <p><br />When we pulled up to the gate the lady whom was working asked us if we are going fishing for the night . I told her YES we are fishing for the NIGHT .</p> <p><br />She then gave us the amount to pay for the 2 vehicles and occupants for the nights fishing . R50 PP R40 (per child) R50(for vehical). We paid the amount R340 in cash to them and she let us (both vehicles and occupants ) pass and said "ENJOY THE NIGHT) . </p> <p><br />We spent the night and round about 08:20 the morning of 5th of February 2017 we packed up to leave . We drove separate vehicles , the 1st vehicle and 1adult + 1 child left first . </p> <p><br />About an hour later we (3remaining adults+1vehicle) left for home , BUT ran into a BIG problem at the gate ! </p> <p><br />The lady stopped us at the gate and asked for the receipt , luckily I kept it (but nobody told us its important to keep for exit?!) .<br />I gave the receipt to her expecting she would open without any trouble. </p> <p><br />Then she said "but this is for DAY VISITOR" . I told her that it could not be true because the lady asked us the previous night right before closing time if we are overnight , so how can we pay for the day then ?</p> <p><br />She said "she is not going to open the gate , until we (3 adults +vehicle)pay the amount that was missing.</p> <p><br />HOW CAN RIETVLEI DAM EXPECT ME TO PAY FOR A MISTAKE THEY MADE ?!</p> <p><br />After reasoning on why I have to pay , for the mistake they made , the security lady said that she is willing to open for us if I gave a R100 to the two of them ! A BRIBE ???!!!</p> <p><br />I refused ! And asked to speak to the manager/supervisor , and they said there is no way I can . I asked then for his number , they refused to give it to me . </p> <p><br />At that stage the rest of security came in threatening us and harassing us by saying "we will cuff you" "we will lock you up" "we have guns there is nothing you can do" . </p> <p><br />I was frighted for my life so then agreed on paying the rather foolish amount of R372 EXTRA , for the 3xadults and 1xvehical, so that we can leave in a safe manner. </p> <p><br />The same was happening to another vehicle that i know of that day ! </p> <p><br />I am truly disgusted at Rietvlei Dam , this behavior is unprofessional and unacceptable !! </p> <p><br />I will be waiting to here from you on what is your reaction towards this and also what is your next action going to be .</p> <p><br />Regards</p> <p><br />-- <br />HEINRICH J BEINEKE<br /> ********** 986<br ********** /> <br /> </p>
