Riskcon are the security group at Woolworths. I was racially attacked on 2 occasions by the very same security guard. It's quite a long story to go into detail. Let me just say it was a vicious racial attack against me. The Woolworths branch being Blue Hills in Midrand. The branch manager of Woolworths did not take responsibility and asked me to contact the security company directly and share my experience. Woolworths lodged complaints several times with Riskcon with no positive feedback. To date the security company has not even attempted to resolve the matter thus refusing to take responsibility. Not surprised that this company has such bad reviews and such a low trust index.

I started working for these people towards end August. My previous experience of driving security guards around was unpleasant, so I made sure that this was not part of the job. I started working basically by word of mouth that I have a post and this is what my salary would be.... A week later only, I received an offer of employment. I was meant to sign it and forward to the HR person. Instead, I read it. There were 2 areas of the contract I did not like, or wanted clarity on. I forwarded my questions immediately I received the offer. I then also asked who I thought was the big boss of the company about one of the clauses as it had a direct impact on my personal ambitions. He asked me to take a photo and whatsapp to him, which I did. I heard nothing. In the mean time, I had started working, based on a verbal discussion. The very first weekend, I had off (I started on the Friday). After that, I was driven around, visiting sites and being introduced to site managers (but not all of them), meeting guards, but this all seemed very inadequate to me. As the days went on, I was told I needed to start going to some sites by 5am. I was also told about a need to take guards home, starting at 8PM. I often only got home after 9PM, closer to 10PM. The second weekend, I was on duty. I wasn't told what to do, or how to do it, it was just an assumption I knew what to do. On the Thursday of this week, I was expected to be on the road by 4am to be at my first site by 5. By 3PM I was finished. I was then told to go pick up guards to take them to work by 6PM, which I did. The boss then phoned my and told me to wait in the area and do other c****s while there, then take guards home starting at 8PM. I refused and told her she would have my resignation in the morning. In these two weeks, the HR didn't return calls, didn't respond to my emails, eventually on this Thursday, I did eventually get a response, after I had told the boss she will have my resignation. Well, two months later, I am still waiting to be paid for those 2 weeks of what I consider to be an abusive 2 weeks. There is much more I could say, such as treatment of guards and poor induction and a host of things, but I've said what I need to.

Today at ackermans west street my shopping was a nightmare.I went to shop for a baby shower gift whiles shopping my phone rang and I placed the clothes that I had picked on top of a clothing rail in front of me. I then opened my bag and reached for my phone as I closed my bag a security guard by the name of mthokozisi myeza approached me and ordered me to open my bag at that moment I was confused and asked ,do u think I stole something? he did not answer and brutally searched my bag. He did not find anything he than grabbed the clothes I had placed on the rail and ordered me out saying people like me are not needed in the store, I stood there humiliated and angry that I responded saying I am not going anywhere , he then turned seeing that I was not following him and came towards me and said are you buying this"refering to the clothes I had picked"I said yes, he then ordered me to go to the cashiers and pay right away... Mmmh I then told him I'm not done and I am waiting for a friend who is going to help me shop for the baby shower gift,he then shook his head and said I must get out of the store and if I have a problem I should see the manager. In the mist of this all the manager a lady by the name of pat approached us ,it was now a big scene because me and the security guard were going back and forth arguing. The manager approached us and asked me what was the problem I told her everything, she then apologised and asked the security guard to apologise but he refused and said she must call his manger(security company's manager) he is not doing that, then a random lady /customer who had witnessed everything approached us and said she saw everything asked the security guard to apologise but still this guy had alot of pride and refused. I then walked away and told the store manager that I will lay a complaint the store manager was so helpful and also shocked at the guards behavior...... I have never been so embarrassed. This guard needs to be disciplined

Last week i called Riskcon security and spoke to the fleet manager named Charm, regarding the theft of my laptop. One of their drivers ran past our passenger window where our laptop was sitting and jumped into a Riskcon vechile.

To date we still have had no feedback or asisstance, why would i even recommend this company when they are unable to ensure the reliability of their staff members
