I recently took delivery of a new BAIC X55 from RM Bryanston. At handover, I was informed that the branded BAIC floor mats were out of stock and that I should return to collect them once new stock arrived. At no stage was I told that these mats would be an additional charge.
When I later followed up to arrange collection, I was then told I would need to pay for them. This directly contradicts what I was told on delivery day. If the mats were not included, this should have been clearly communicated upfront not after the vehicle had already been handed over.
I proceeded with delivery based on the understanding that the mats formed part of what was already discussed. Changing the position afterwards feels misleading and reflects poorly on the dealership’s transparency and customer service. They just want to ******* customers.
