Never pay for a service from Kristin Terwin
Sadly, I can't give zero stars. Never pay Kristin Terwin for a service. A long story of my experience cut short: • July 2019 – paid for maternity and newborn photoshoot package • Excessive fails at communication with her to book my maternity photoshoot • November 2019 – finally had my maternity photoshoot • December 2019 – birth of baby • Was advised first seven days were ideal for newborn shoot. Contacted her day of sons birth to book a date. Booked after three weeks • January 2020 – had newborn photoshoot and asked about maternity photos and was told they were sent and she will resend them. • January 2020 - Finally received maternity photos • February 2020 – Asked about newborn photos and was told they were sent and she will resend them. • To date (September 2020) – have not received newborn photos. She ignores any communications and has blocked my number. She has fled Durban and latest info I received is that she is in Benoni. I am aware of multiple police cases are open against her. My heat is broken that the photos are out there and it seems I will never get them because of this woman.

Never pay for a service from Kristin Terwin

I have purchased a newborn voucher in November 2019, which stated inmake immediate payment to buy the voucher. I tried calling and messaging from December which I was told they were closed. It's near impossible to get a response from her. Then eventually I get a booking on a Saturday, then she tells me she double booked n cancelled. We then reschedule for a Thursday, my newborn, 3yr old son n husband go outside her gate, she calls 10min b4 we arrive to cancel due to load shedding. Then said we can come on Saturday, cancels once again.then I ask for a refund and she has a thousand excuses, her assistant stole the money. Then a death in the family. Now she is just not responding and I am blocked on Facebook. Terrible, worst service I received. From where I am concerned, she is a thief and fraud.

Scam artist
Most disappointing service from this photographer. I paid in full for a maternity photoshoot only for her to reschedule countless times and she doesn't respond to any calls, emails. She is a scam artist that takes people's money and does not fulfill the service offered.

Most disappointing service from this photographer. I paid in full for a maternity photoshoot only for her to reschedule countless times and she doesn't respond to any calls, emails. She is a scam artist that takes people's money and does not fulfill the service offered.

SCAM Artist - takes your money and does not follow through
So, I am beyond shocked at the level of audacity from Rose Gold Photography owner Kristin Terwin. 4th Feb 2020 - she answered all my questions, she invoiced me, I paid in full and sent her the receipt. 5th Feb 2020 - I try and secure my date and time for my shoot. She takes forever to get back to me - this should of been my first sign of trouble. 11th Feb 2020 - We finally confirm my shoot date, time and location - 16th Feb 2020, 6pm at Brighton Beach. I inquire about the dress hire that came with my package. 11th Feb 2020 - I pick up my dress from the dress hire company - mind you she is fantastic! Definitely knows how to run a business! I make my hair and nails booking for my shoot 14th Feb 2020 – my sister shows me her Facebook post that she has had a death in the family, naturally I contact Kristin to find out about my shoot and offer my condolences 15th Feb 2020 – Kristin responds and asks to reschedule, I say ofcourse and patiently await her feedback of the reschedule date 17th Feb 2020 – I drop off the dress with the hiring company 18th Feb 2020 – Kristin responds asking about which dates would suit me, I instantly respond giving her my preferred days and ask for her availability, I also messaged on Facebook messenger. No response via email or facebook messenger – she is scheduled to go back to work after her leave on the 24th Feb 2020. Kristin posts that she is having an issue with her emails – so I message again on Facebook Kristin responds to potential clients on Facebook, but ignores my messages 26th Feb 2020 – No feedback from my last email 28th Feb 2020 – Kristin responds to my coworker on email at the same time I was emailing her My partner and I both call, I whatsapp her, send her emails and messages on Facebook – no response either. But… I post on her wall and wow I finally get a response. Great news right. No because I want a refund, how can I even go through with my shoot, I will likely not even get my pictures. Now she wants me to wait 12 days for my refund… I think not, she can give her explanation to the police officer that attends to this matter. Then… People start messaging to say that she does this all the time. Please do not pay this women a cent, do not request her services. So disturbed that she can treat someone that is 34 weeks pregnant this way, when maternity shoots are her core business. Utterly sad!

Rose Gold Photography - delay receiving items paid for
Waiting two months for maternity and newborn shoot photos done in Dec 19, which are delayed even taking into account the festive season. Kristin has excuses all the time which range from loadshedding, her illness to moving premises (which she failed to notify us of). Very unprofessional seeing as she expects full payment then drags us along to get arrange the shoots let alone receiving our galleries. She does not respond to email unless social media messages are posted. She has now blocked me on social media, and has asked me to continue with legal intervention, which I have done via my legal aid. Very evasive person. I've exacerbated my patience as I've received photos from photoshoots I've done with other photographers after the ones done with Kristin. Not worth the stress she brings with cheaper packages because you will have problems scheduling a shoot, getting a refund or getting the photos you paid thousands for. No person wants to deal with this kind of stress during pregnancy or after birth. Let's hope I receive my photos and things don't escalate to criminal charges as she has my money.

Very unprofessional 'photographer'
From the day I wanted to book my newborns shoot I received bad service from her. I booked and paid immediately for a special she was running which included 30 edited images.Today I received my 25 photo's and not 30 as advertised, a week shy of 3 months, and the quality and editing was very poorly done. I had to send numerous FB messages as well as Whats-apps before she would respond, and when she did, there was always some other excuse of why the photo's aren't ready. I don't believe she is professional at all, I just think she knows how to use Photoshop really well! Don't waste your time and energy on this business, there are SO MANY other photographers out there, do some research first!

From the day I wanted to book my newborns shoot I received bad service from her. I booked and paid immediately for a special she was running which included 30 edited images.Today I received my 25 photo's and not 30 as advertised, a week shy of 3 months, and the quality and editing was very poorly done. I had to send numerous FB messages as well as Whats-apps before she would respond, and when she did, there was always some other excuse of why the photo's aren't ready. I don't believe she is professional at all, I just think she knows how to use Photoshop really well! Don't waste your time and energy on this business, there are SO MANY other photographers out there, do some research first!
