Thank you for leaving a review. I wanted to address a few of the things you mentioned above, and hopefully, we can both learn from his experience. They are always helpful in improving the quality of the business I provide to customers.
You were not a consistent client of mine for two years. You salon hop and go to a neighbour for your hair, as you have told me, so the problem with your hair isn't entirely my fault. Your hair was already broken when you came to me due to the excessive use of gel and braiding. I only saw you twice in the first year for the installation of your keratin bond extensions, and after that, I only saw you every four months for a refit. You were not my blowdry client, as your hair would usually already have been blow-dried when you came to have your extensions refit.
I accommodated you in my free time because you initially said you couldn't make it for my salon hours, but after refusing to do your hair on a Sunday, you eventually made a plan for Saturday. I did not charge you extra to come in on my day off, and I have always been polite to you despite your rudeness.
The first time you were made to wait, you came 30 mins early for your appointment. I did not make you wait. You were early. The second time you were made to wait for 10 mins, you were 10 mins late, and I offered the time to another client, which I am within my right to do. That woman works in the building, but she paid for her hair as you aid for yours. That was a client, and you were insulting even though you were the one that was late. I wasn't making you wait because I was doing someone a favour. She is a client.
I explained that I do not have assistants because I would have to increase clients' costs, and most clients understand that I work alone. You nagged about paying for your service, and I politely explained that I discounted your fee but would increase it to the regular price if you would like me to hire someone to assist me with your appointments. I was straightforward about the pricing because you were rude, and it isn't fair. As a small business owner, a demanding client such as yourself who has little regard for anyone should not be allowed to speak to me the way you have just because you support my business. If you think I am such a terrible hairstylist, then why recommend people to me for tape extensions?
I have been a hairstylist for 22 years and have the paperwork. I am proud of how hard I have and continue to work.
It is a pity that you had to use this platform to complain when you had no problem accepting cheaper prices or free time. I am happy you found someone who can assist you and I wish you all the best moving forward.
