Dear Minister Barbara Creecy The roads in Gauteng and Mpumapanga are in a state of signicant disrepair. In Springs, we have large potholes which are simply not being fixed. Further the road markings have long faded and there are no markings to guide motorists. This poses a significant danger to roadusers especially in the frequent rains that we are experiencing. We also notice that the road from Persida to Sundra on the R555 is fixed on the Mpumalanga side. As soon as you enter Persida, you see large potholes. the poor state of the roads contribute to the high accident rate in the area. Even emergency personnel complain that the roads are especially dangerous for them as they have to veer through potholes and unlarked roads to get to people in distress. Dear Minister - please fix these roads and prevent innocent lives lost.
