Rubber Sealant's replyOfficial
23 Feb 2022, 17:50Eben, after conducting our own investigation it became apparent that you are in fact the owner of Rocky Road Construction - a previous reseller of our products. Your rights to distribute our products were revoked due to certain problems that we experienced ranging from inability to keep to payment arrangements, late payments, arrogance, rudeness, swearing staff members, disregarding our strict terms and condition and damaging our company name and brand.
Mr. Pieter Meiring (our National Manager) contacted you on Friday evening in an attempt to gain your side of the story as to why you were in possession of photos indicating damage to a wooden table that we sealed using Rubber Sealant Gloss. This table was sealed in December 2021. In the photos it is clearly visible that someone damaged the gloss on purpose, going through extreme efforts to remove the product from the table, peeling pieces off of the table. When you spoke to Mr. Scholtz (our Area Manager) you admitted to the fact that you went to the site in question to do your own "investigation" however when Mr. Meiring asked you about the photos you became defensive. Mr. Hannes du Toit (our Regional manager) phoned you on Tuesday 21 February 2022 in an attempt to resolve this matter. You then told Mr. Du Toit that you did not visit the site in question (contradicting your conversation with Mr. Stoltz) as it was closed upon your arrival, however you asked someone else to conduct an "investigation" on your behalf after this individual dropped you off at the airport. We should note that this table was sealed at one of our customers and not at a site that you were working on. Disturbing indeed...
You informed Mr. du Toit that you would be in the area today and that you would contact him to arrange a meeting - up and till now 23 Feb 2022 19:41 you have not made contact with Mr. du Toit. Mr. du Toit attempted to contact you but to no avail.
Yesterday, 22 February 2022 we conducted a site inspection at the premises where the damage took place.
After more than 2 months, standing in the sun, rain and wind Rubber Sealant Gloss was difficult to remove, showing its extreme flexibility, durability and lo and behold it did not discolour remaining perfectly see-through as it should. These videos will be posted on our Facebook page soon.
We offer a guarantee on our products and not on your workmanship.
It is logical that a product should be applied correctly for it to work as it should.
We will remain steadfast by our initial findings that you did not apply the product correctly - This is not a matter of product failure but an application error.
Your clients are welcome to contact us and to inquire about why the application that you did failed. We will happily assist them with this matter and hold you liable for the cost.
We implore you to send the sealed containers that you have in your possession for testing to a reputable lab.
We look forward to receiving the results and the astonishment of those attempting to discredit a product that is clearly not at fault.
On your post you threaten that you are going to entice clients to write a review about our product. A friendly word of warning: This constitutes slander and we do not take this lightly. Writing reviews blaming a product that is not at fault and attempting to damage a company's brand can lead to serious legal ramifications.
Lastly the fact that you claimed that we used bullying tactics to resolve this matter clearly indicates that you are not fond of the truth and will manipulate a situation to best suit yourself. In fact we attempted to resolve this matter amicably, constantly providing you with the feedback each time that you reported a problem.
Best regards,
