Good day,
WE have reached out to the department of education as well as Rylands High School, Athlone. See mail below and their reply. Dear Sir / Madam
I find this extremely uphauling that Rylands cannot make an acception for Imaad Petersen. Where must we go look now for a place for him, this time of the year. Students from other areas are getting first privilege and this is ************** towards us, as 4 schools rejected his application what happened to children’s education when they not even being considered any longer for a better future. This makes children despondent from going to school especially if their hearts are set on attending a certain school because he has an older brother on the school.
I need contact information for higher authority because I refuse to accept no for an answer after we been dealing with this for so long. Please I am pleading that you make an acception for one child is not going to make a difference to the amount of students accepted already.
Yours in Education.

the Letter of appeal we submitted:
TO: THE BOARD OF RYLANDS HIGH SCHOOL Student Cemis No. 120709IP0001 To Who It May Concern:
Dear Sir / Madam Dear Sir/ Madam
I am pleading on behalf of my son who is currently at Porterview Primary his last year Imaad Allie Petersen, I Shanaaz Petersen ID 7905190198088 his parent (Single Mother), has app**** at 4 different high schools for the new year, Rylands High is the closest School to where he resides, and he has a sibling on the school. And all the schools he app**** at his application was rejected.
According to my knowledge students residing close to the school has first privilege, if Rylands High does not have place they must accommodate him first for one he lives close by and has a sibling on the school namely Amaan Petersen. Rylands High School is the closest school and all students living close buy should be considered first.
I find it hard to believe that 4 schools rejected his application. Please we need some urgent assistance in this regard and I appeal to Rylands High School to reconsider his application as he will be going to High School 2026 and needs to be accepted close to home, and students residing in the area should have first option in being accepted for what purpose or reason was he not accepted I do not know, when all paperwork and forms was sent through, only to come back saying not accepted.
Please your assistance, empathy and acknowledgement will be highly appreciated.
Thanking you in advance.
Miss Shanaaz Petersen
