Martin, the owner of this company, appeared very professional and provided a detailed list of problems that needed to be addressed to sort out a damp problem at our place of residence. He then subcontracted semi skilled labourers to do the work. He does actively supervise the subcontractors and was only on site twice- once to quote for the job and once to drop the guys off on day 1. Some of the work was done satisfactorily, such as replacing the membrane on the roof joins and some plaster work. However, the gutters that were leaking were not addressed. Martin quoted to get the "gutters cleaned up, sealed and re-positioned" The gutters still leak, have not been cleaned or sealed in areas and were in no way re-positioned. As a result, the gutters are leaking in some areas and not draining in others. This will most likely leave our damp problem unresolved. I asked Martin to get the subcontractors back to sort out these issues. They came back but but only patched an area of the roof they had omitted to seal the first time. None of the other issues raised were addressed. Again Martin was not on site to ensure the work was done correctly. Furthermore the subcontractors were extremely rude to my wife who was reduced to tears. I therefore cannot in good conscience recommend Martin and SA Damp and Coat
