Martin, the owner of this company, appeared very professional and provided a detailed list of problems that needed to be addressed to sort out a damp problem at our place of residence. He then subcontracted semi skilled labourers to do the work. He does actively supervise the subcontractors and was only on site twice- once to quote for the job and once to drop the guys off on day 1. Some of the work was done satisfactorily, such as replacing the membrane on the roof joins and some plaster work. However, the gutters that were leaking were not addressed. Martin quoted to get the "gutters cleaned up, sealed and re-positioned" The gutters still leak, have not been cleaned or sealed in areas and were in no way re-positioned. As a result, the gutters are leaking in some areas and not draining in others. This will most likely leave our damp problem unresolved. I asked Martin to get the subcontractors back to sort out these issues. They came back but but only patched an area of the roof they had omitted to seal the first time. None of the other issues raised were addressed. Again Martin was not on site to ensure the work was done correctly. Furthermore the subcontractors were extremely rude to my wife who was reduced to tears. I therefore cannot in good conscience recommend Martin and SA Damp and Coat

In December 2015 I employed SA Damp to conduct damp proofing and painting at my house. the total cost of which was ~R120 000. The work took extremely long and the team was only off my property my March 2016. In October 2016 I noticed damp returning and the paint bubbling on the walls at various points. I tried to contact SA damp with no luck. In January 2017 I eventually got a hold of Mr Martin Ward who made numerous empty promises. Eventually Riaan the ops manager came out to inspect, to which he acknowledged that the repairs required are legitimate and he promised to return in a week to complete the work. Surprise, surprise he never arrived but I got a message from Mr Martin who said that they are no longer trading because they were defrauded and therefore will not be repairing my property. I have confirmed today that SA Damp is still trading with business as usual but they have robbed and defrauded the various customers who entrusted them with the work. It is very disappointing

I paid 50% on the quotation given to me by the company for work on my home. R24000 deposited into their account in Nov 2016. I have since tried by various means to retrieve my deposit, as the WORK IS NOT DONE. Initially they promised to start in Nov, then postponed to Dec 2016, then eventually silence from them, until I initiated a follow-up.

A business that claims to care about customer satisfaction, but they do not answer emails or communicate. Huge disappointment-not a word from them since being promised that my request for return of funds wold be prioritised and executed by now. I eventually had to leave my place of work and dedicate time to going to their offices in Grayston in person.Still nothing. SA Damp: Please return my money.
