They are ***********!!!!!! they aren’t going to pay out the funds I guess, this one that was/is handling my case is busy telling me that they have a lot of cases so we just need to be patient and it sucks bc it’s not theirs, busy telling us that the verification team will call, they submit a lot of cases daily so we just have to be patient & they are telling us that their cases take up to 12 months and it’s actually not fair, bc our mother passed almost 12 months ago so we have to wait for another year? Sis Lutendo Try to do better!

It has been over 12 months since my father passed on. I submitted a claim of my Father from January 2024. My father passed on October 2023. I went to their offices 3 times, to follow up on the process and progress of the application. They have been making excuses that there are lot of cases while I stated my financial situation and how how I needed the money providing all the affidavits and required documents. I lastly asked that they at least give me an Advanced payment so I can be able to keep renting and putting food on the table for myself and my 2 Kids. But they told me they no longer do advances, when I asked for an estimation date of when I can get the money since they claimed that verification was done it only needed an approval from the Board of Trustees, they still said there are lot of cases. Must I be homeless with my children while I have money that is rightfully mine as the beneficiary that was nominated by my father and dependent on my father. what must I do to get the money because I'm unemployed and have no one that can support me.

My brother left me and my brother money in a policy to claim after his passing. It’s been over a year and SACCAWU won’t release the money. They keep saying it’s under investigation which I don’t understand because what are you investigating, there is proof that he left it to us and he has no other beneficiaries. They also not answering any emails or giving any feedback on where they are with these investigations. Another thing is that “board” that’s doing these investigations has to agree and find me and my brother worthy of the money, but I don’t get this because my brother worked all his life to leave us this money. When we called they said they are short staffed and dealing with hundreds of claims. I’m concerned and worried about people who don’t have the resources to fight for their money. It’s really been frustrating.
