Highly frustrating when a bunch of items on the menu are not available - including BREAD ROLLS FOR BURGERS!! If the waitress had told us when we first arrived, we’d have had the opportunity to decide to stay or go elsewhere but instead we were told after our orders were placed, that bread rolls had run out - burgers were being served on slices of bread! And having placed 2 orders for the pork belly, 15mins later we were told only one portion was left and that we “must choose something else”. This is just poor management. The least you can do is inform your staff immediately so that expectations are managed. Also when the kitchen closed, the staff immediately began to pack away cushions from seats, blankets etc.. whilst 75% of restaurant were still trying to enjoy their meal. What has happened to hospitality and customer service being a priority. Without happy customers there is no business. Best to sort these things out before you find you’ve moved too far from the mark to come back.

I recently went to this hidden gem of a restaurant in 44 Stanley Avenue, Milpark, Johannesburg called Salvation Cafe. What a delight it was to me and my partner. It is a very quaint restaurant and it so relaxing to sit under the trees and have a meal. Although they were very busy, Chef Warren still made time to come and chat with us. I had the shashuka egg dish and my partner had the eggs benedict. Delicious is the word to describe both dishes. Our waiter was quick with our orders, so our food arrived piping hot. Then, even though we were satisfied, Chef Warren convinced us to try their cheesecake. No wonder it won the best cheesecake in Joburg competition. It is to die for devine. Thanks for a wonderful time Chef Warren and team. We will be back sooner than soon. Signing off for now. Slipper Chef

Went for breakfast on Saturday 21st October. We chose the Benedict Royale for R90. It came with one tiny ****in, one egg, avo and some sauce. It was minute and we were still starving. We called the manager and complained and he said that he would do something about it but did nothing. This is a rip off and I would like some compensation.

Good breakfast for a friends birthday, good service from waitress's serving us but extremely bad attitude from young, inexperienced manager. Trying desperately to hurry us off our table when we had a full breakfast, cakes and coffee. We were enjoying our friends birthday and catch up session but this manager could not hurry us off the table any faster. Then took the issue up with the owner and instead of apologizing he decides to comment yes you have been sitting here since this morning. Sitting at a table from 9:30-11:30 is hardly a long time considering we spent R700 on your restaurant between 5 ladies. Rude and unacceptable you have discouraged me from going back to your restaurant. No one was waiting for your table and you had 3 other tables that were empty. Keep this up and you won't have any customers.
