Saucony Ladies Walking shoes/trainers

I bought a pair of Saucony ladies walking shoes in January and they are already wearing through the toe area. These cost me over R2000 and I am a pensioner. When returning to the retailer where I bought them, Randburg Runner in Linden, was told how to repair them, but they were very unhelpful and unsympathetic and was left to my own devices to try and repair them, which is not going to be easy. They have lasted less than a year, which I find absolutely unacceptable. Any suggestions?
