We got married in 2014 and used Saunderson Attorneys to draw up our antenuptual contract. My husband is in the process of buying another property to add to his investment portfolio but it has now surfaced that we are married In Community of Property. We tried to phone and email Saunderson Attorneys to question them but they aren't reachable and their website no longer exists. We had a search done at the deeds office and true as bob there is no antenuptual contract in existence. This has dire consequences for us because we each have properties which are now, by default, jointly owned. My husband has a business which we also now jointly own. Our initial need for the antenuptual contract was to spread our risk should something go wrong with the business. We now need to get divorced and remarried or draw up a postnuptual contract and all our properties need to be transferred out of our respective names! The costs will be enormous! We are looking at sueing these "attorneys".
