I worked at Savvy Civils & Plumbing for four months, and unfortunately, my experience was not ideal. There were a number of issues that I encountered during my time with the company. Communication was often poor, and the workload was overwhelming at times.
The official working hours were from 7 AM to 5 PM, but the reality was that the workday often extended beyond that. After hours, I would still receive calls from technicians and clients, making it difficult to truly disconnect from work. Additionally, the expectation to work every second weekend was not an issue in itself, but it was frustrating when the company suddenly changed their policy on working from home. Initially, I was told that remote work was an option, but after my first month, the policy was changed due to issues caused by previous employees. This inconsistency in expectations was difficult to manage.
One specific incident that stands out is when I received a call from a client at midnight, claiming an emergency. I arranged for a technician to visit, only for the technician to arrive and find that the client was not answering their phone. This not only wasted time but also caused unnecessary inconvenience.
What left a lasting negative impression was that even after I left the company, I am still awaiting payment that is owed to me. It’s been three months, and this has only added to my frustration. It feels like there was a lack of respect for employees, and the company should take a closer look at its practices.
While I understand that businesses face challenges, I believe Savvy Civils & Plumbing could improve in terms of communication, consistency, and honoring commitments to their employees
