I had a problem with my plumbing. I asked on WhatsApp for a quote to find the leak an d fix it. They said R2480 ex vat. I agreed and asked them to come out. On arrival I showed the plumber the leak location. He did not do any fixing of the problem. He said that the quote was only for a call out and leak detection, it was a miscommunication. I had to pay for the call out where nothing was fixed, and no work was done. I feel wronged by having to pay for something I did not get any value for.

DO NOT USE THEM. I asked them for a price to detect and fix a leak. They rep****. I asked them to come through. Now the fixing of the problem is to be billed seperate. They purposely give vague responses and I was forced to pay for a call out R2275.. to tell me I have a leak.. without any repair done. Rhis is day light *******.

If i could give 0 stars, I would. STAY away from this company. They charged me R21700 to replace 4m pipe in my yard. They did not inform me its going to take 19Hours to dig up 4m of trench. I could have hired a TLB to dig the trench in 30min, but they saw an opportunity to stretch the work as i was not home. I have disputed the invoice but the owner did not care. I have asked other plumbing companies to quote on the same work and the market price is R7500 for the work rendered. I hope this review serve as a warning to other home owners not to use them

I worked at Savvy Civils & Plumbing for four months, and unfortunately, my experience was not ideal. There were a number of issues that I encountered during my time with the company. Communication was often poor, and the workload was overwhelming at times. The official working hours were from 7 AM to 5 PM, but the reality was that the workday often extended beyond that. After hours, I would still receive calls from technicians and clients, making it difficult to truly disconnect from work. Additionally, the expectation to work every second weekend was not an issue in itself, but it was frustrating when the company suddenly changed their policy on working from home. Initially, I was told that remote work was an option, but after my first month, the policy was changed due to issues caused by previous employees. This inconsistency in expectations was difficult to manage. One specific incident that stands out is when I received a call from a client at midnight, claiming an emergency. I arranged for a technician to visit, only for the technician to arrive and find that the client was not answering their phone. This not only wasted time but also caused unnecessary inconvenience. What left a lasting negative impression was that even after I left the company, I am still awaiting payment that is owed to me. It’s been three months, and this has only added to my frustration. It feels like there was a lack of respect for employees, and the company should take a closer look at its practices. While I understand that businesses face challenges, I believe Savvy Civils & Plumbing could improve in terms of communication, consistency, and honoring commitments to their employees

I worked at Savvy Civils & Plumbing for four months, and it was honestly a frustrating experience from start to finish. The communication was poor, and the workload was overwhelming. The working hours were officially from 7 AM to 5 PM, but in reality, you’re never truly off. You’d still get calls from technicians and clients after hours. On top of that, they expect you to work every second weekend, which is not the problem. The problem was that in the interview process, I was told we could work from home. I did for the first month, but then all of a sudden, the 'boss' didn’t want us working from home anymore due to work not being up to date from previous employees. This is one of many inconsistencies. On top of working every second weekend, we also worked public holidays. Yes, we took turns for who worked which public holiday, but still, no overtime was paid for the public holidays that we worked in the office from 7 to 5. My hours were also not truly from 7-5. I would still get calls from clients and technicians throughout the evening, long after I was supposed to be done with my day. One example that really stands out: I had a client call me at midnight, claiming an emergency. I sent a technician to help, and after waiting for him to get to the client in Roodepoort, he arrived only to find the client wasn’t answering their phone. I had to send him back, wasting his time and mine. What really gets under my skin, though, is that even after I left, they still owe me money – it’s been three months. It is the principle of things. It’s clear that they don’t value their employees or keep their word. They love to make jokes about the people who’ve left, but the problem isn’t with the employees. Savvy Civils & Plumbing needs to take a hard look at their own practices because they’re the ones who are dishonest and unprofessional.
