Just adding the mail I sent to them - 0 response as expected from Scott - how sad Good morning, 2 years ago I decided to upgrade my MTB from a Specialized bike I had ridden for over 6 years with no drama, to an expensive Scott Spark 900 AXS. I did a lot of research and comparisons in my decision as this was an expensive bike and I needed it to last me the next 6 years. I have now had this bike for 2 years and what an expensive drama show I have had. This is what I an experiencing: Bearings, Pivot and rear - replaced 6 times - expensive services AXS - Replaced 3 times - Battery connection issues and a general failure Syncros Rims - replaced twice and I am on my way for the third, they crack How can you warrant making an expensive bike and allowing for this? It is like the frame is all that was focused on and we will just chuck on **** components and rims and have no concern for testing the durability of the Pivot and other bearings. I am more than aware that this is a higher level bike, however when I check in with my group, same rides, same riding - they do not experience these issues on their Specialized, Giant and Cannondale Bikes. I am off shopping for a new bike - Will make this public when I do. I feel really bad having to sell this bike to the next person.......

Scott Spark handed in to Cyclelab on 16/9/2024 and Scott confirmed that cracked rear triangle is covered by warranty. I have a single biscycle which is at Cyclelab waiting for Scott to honour the warranty. Cyclelab has apparently tried numerous times to get an ETA from Scott but without any success. That is not Cyclelab's shortcoming but it is their supplier's shortcoming. In the meantime, I see a big drive to sell Scott bikes and gear currently underway. I suppose it would be naive to expect them to give an outline regarding the waiting periods for warranty issues.

I have been a lifelong Scott fan, and in May 2024 I finally bought my dream bike, the Scott Spark 910. Initially I loved it so much, that after a week I lost my mind and bought my wife a Contessa Spark 920, even though her existing Merida was still perfectly functional. 3 weeks later, while washing the bike, I discovered a crack on the main downtube, which I referred to Scott. As I had not been riding much for around 18 months, the rides I had don at that point were all very mild gravel rides with no aggressive, technical elements, and I did not fall at any point. The bike was transported using a very well-padded tailgate carrier, and each time I used the carrier my wife's bike was transported at the same time. The use of the tailgate carrier did lead to some light scuffing on both bike frames due to the frame rubbing against the padding. When the matter was referred to Scott, they stated that the marks were indicative of an impact or compression, and as such no warranty claim would be entertained. My only option available to me was to replace the front triangle, which I am currently waiting for. Given how gently I have ridden and transported the bike, and given that the carrier is the only item that could have exerted any force on the bike, and given that my wife's bike has been subjected to the same treatment, has the same slight scuffing, but is wholly crack free, I find the explanations offered highly implausible. If the carrier was indeed the cause, then the bike is beyond flimsy for a R100k. The supplier of the bike carrier also owns several carbon bikes, including heavy e-bikes, and has experienced no problems (arguably because his bikes are not Scotts). On the whole, the warranty offered on the Scott does not seem to be worth whatever paper it is written on. If you are in the market for a Scott, I would suggest you think carefully and do your research before going down that path. I for one will never buy a Scott product again.

I bough the new Scott spark 950 2 years ago. My frame has developed a crack now and they refuse to warranty the claim. They only willing to sell me the frame without the rear triangle in a different colour for 24k. So in essence make more money from me and I have a bike that is two different colours. The warranty specifically states that the bike has a 3 year warranty and if you service at a certified dealer then you have a 5 year warranty. The fault that caused the crack stems from a recall on the shock bolt. Well at least I see info on other sites talking to the recall. I was never notified. They also say they would have honoured the warranty if it was in the first 3 months. This makes no sense as I could easily do less mileage than someone else in 2 years than them in 3 months. In essence their warranty is worthless

I bought a Scott Spark 910 in February 2018. Four months later, and only using this bike on gravel roads, a bush at the pivot point on the rear suspension failed. I was told that the pivot assembly might have been poorly assembled - a new bush was sourced, fitted and locktided. Eight month after that (and a major service in between) the same bush on the same pivot assembly failed again. Now I am told it was poor maintenance and definitely nothing wrong with the frame and/or swing frame. I am very disappointed disgusted with the Scott products and their after sales service. Seems like I will have to buy and replace a swing arm repair kit (at a cost of ±R1500) every 6 moths.

Bought my son a R32500 Scott Spark 940 bicycle. After having extensive problems with the bike and spending thousands of rands on fixing the problem by taking it to different dealers trying to solve and resolve the bikes consistent chain dropping they suggested we send it to Scott S.A.After 5 weeks now and no help at all they can't find anything wrong with it.The bike is badly damaged where the chain caused all of it.They are refusing to fix any damage or to replace any parts.I own 4 other Scotts with no problems at all.No after sales service at all.Thanx Scott S.A!!!!!

Worse mistake I ever made was to buy a Scott Spark 940. By no means top of the line but still not the cheapest bike. I had the swing arm break on my during normal riding almost 2 weeks ago. After having to provide invoices etc for a 1.5 year old bike which have a 5 year warranty on the frame and cannot possibly be older as this is a 2015 model I have been informed that the warranty claim has been approved. However they will only get stock on 30 June, or around a month after the incident. If this was a brand new model or a really old one I could understand it. As it is my training has been interrupted for 2 weeks and now I have at least another 3 weeks to go before I can hopefully start again. Won't be buying a Scott in South Africa again

Good day , I bought a Scott Spark 960 mountain bike ,new, in 2014 from a Scott dealer in Welkom. After a month my mtb starts breaking rear wheel spokes every time I went on a ride. I spoke to the dealer where I bought the bike and he gave me the number of the Johan Strydom ,the rep of Scott mtb. I sent him a mail on 29 July 2015 regarding my whole situation. He then informed me that Phillip Erasmus handles that department. So I mailed Philip Erasmus of Scott SA regarding my complaint. He informed me to sent photos of my bike as well as the proof of payment from the dealer in Welkom ,of which I did. After that nothing happened , so I keep on mailing Philip Erasmus but without any success. And in the meantime I keep on breaking spokes on my expensive mtb that I bought . Every time repairs cost me a lot of money of which I think is unnecessary.
On 31 August 2015 I received an email from Gareth Lee who is the Sales Manager from Scott SA , telling me that he is sorry to hear about my unhappiness regarding service delivery and will look into the matter as mentioned. He asked me to sent the photos of my mtb as well as proof of payment to him, I did and after that nothing happened.
