I made a booking via Booking.com and whenever i have an issue to raise with the hotel they would always refer me to Booking.com as the channel through which i must communicate with them. I booked two apartments with them on the 2nd of December 2023 and immediately transferred R1500 to secure the booking and send the proof of payment and again on the 9th of December 2022 i transferred R1500 and send them proof of payment and few days before the check in date, some people canceled because of reasons beyond their control and of the two apartments i had to cancel one and remain with one, that i did through Booking.com because i tried with the hotel and again i was referred to Booking.com. On the 30th of December 2022 as i was journeying to the destination, i encountered car problems and conveyed the message through Booking.com that i cannot make the check in on the day and indicated that i will check in the next day. The next day i woke up to the email that said my booking got canceled because of 'noshow" and the money i paid has been directed towards cancelation fee. This is a scam because i couln't stay @ their property due to what i never anticipated and i lost my money in the process. I need to get back my money.
