It has happened twice in the past few months that I had a false alarm and they call me only after more than 10 minutes. That is not helpful; in that time my wife and I could have had our throats cut for all they know. The most recent incident was over the weekend of 17/18 March 2019 where there had been an alarm due to the battery of the alarm system having been run flat due to a power failure. This happened at 14:15. Secure Rite only called about 30 mins later when I was not within hearing distance of my phone. Armed response turned up after 18:00 only. That is unacceptable.

About 2 years ago Secure Rite Security installed a receiver in our remote controlled gate so they could have access to the property by using their remote controls. Every time they responded to an alarm they never brought the remotes and could not access the property. About 6 months ago I complained and they said there was \No record of any remotes for our gates\" although their receiver is still installed in our gate motor and the technicians were here 2 years ago. They then synced the remotes a second time and said they would now have access to the property.
This morning they arrived claiming they were responding to our alarm although the alarm had not gone off and they once again they came with no remotes. When I asked the armed response guard I was told the armed response knows nothing about the remotes for our gate. So once again they could not access the property although we have been paying for this service for 2 years.
A second problem is they say they have received an alarm signal when the alarm has not been armed or gone off. This happens often.
This lack of service is unacceptable and I will now cancel my subscription with them. We pay R320 pm for this!
Robert Key"
