Shockingly Poor Seekoskombuis Restaurant

The Seekombuis at Tietiesbaai outside Paternoster has a lovely seafront setting and typical rustic West Coast atmosphere. However, the owners should not be in the hospitality industry at all - let alone run a restaurant or host a wedding reception! This was my daughters wedding and reception which was planned and arranged months in advance with the restaurant owners. Their arrangements were shockingly poor and confusing. They completely ignored pre-arranged plans and requests, did not make customers feel welcome and preferred to get into arguments rather than respond to complaints positively. The toilets are disgusting. They served the wrong dishes, while there was no cutlery or wine glasses set on the tables. The food was the greatest shock and disappointment. The seafood paella was a heap of rice with hardly any identifiable pieces of seafood in it. The chicken curry consisted of a few cubes of chicken drifting in a curry sauce and another heap of rice. The owner was rude and argumentative with my son in law and his best man when they complained about the incorrect arrangements and poor food quality and service. There are a number of great restaurants in Paternoster, but we will never set foot at Seekoskombuis again. Unfortunately rather stay clear away!
