Went to try the Lord Selborne restaurant on Sunday for lunch. We ordered a salad for starters, which I must admit was fresh. The menu stated their bread rolls were homemade and freshly baked - absolutely stale! For our mains we ordered a vegetable curry, which looked and tasted like it had been frozen then defrosted in the microwave - awful couldnt eat it, we also ordered the 300g rump steak which was tough as nails. When we called the manager we asked her if the curry was frozen, she replied she would ask the chef.....she never returned with the answer. To cut a long horrible experience short, we sent our mains back, paid the bill and left. Upsetting that such a lovely estate cant get a decent chef and proper managers.
