Septic Tank Services. HILLCREST. Beware!
SEPTIC TANK SERVICES of Hillcrest, Durban. Kzn. Are terrible. Don't use them. They make you pay up front then totally mess you around and add additional charges as they know we have paid up front and have no choice as your toilet are blocked. Sadly I have used tgem for 20 years but new management and owners are arrogant and hold clients to ransom.

We regret that you had a bad experience with Septic Tank Services, perhaps the following will clarify matters. When an enquiry is received a standard quotation with terms and conditions are given i.e. tank must be exposed before desludging, access up to 40m, normal 2-3 compartment tank, callout fee of R800 if we cannot do the job. When the staff arrived to do the work, it was reported that access is 60m and it is a steep property which incurs extra time. The new price was quoted, accepted and the tank pumped. A number of faults were found and reported in the tank, faults were not attended to.
Escalation – The price escalated as we were not informed that 60m were required to desludge the tank and it was a steep property. If this had been done an accurate quote would have been given and there would have been no escalation.
Ransom and Management – 2 years ago management implemented a policy of payment upfront for all jobs, big or small as bad debts were getting out of hand and affecting the viability of the business. The business was established in 1994 by myself and I am still the current owner, there has been no management change, I regard ourselves as a professional company giving the best service possible.
