I received a POLO Shirt as a gift. It was small and I wanted to exchange it for a larger size at the Shadows Gateway store where it was purchased. It was in the same package with the labels, barcode, Tags etc. still on it. What I received from Shadows Gateway was a most unpleasant experience. They refused point blank, saying that I needed a receipt, despite me telling the rep that it was a birthday gift and it is not appropriate to ask the person who gave you a birthday gift for a receipt. All I wanted was to exchange it for a larger size, NOT a refund. He point blank refused saying that this was the instruction he got from his manager, a person by the name of Nazeem, who was nowhere to be found. One would never get this type of service from reputable stores like Cape Union Mart or Woolworths etc. This is the problem one encounters when dealing with Mickey Mouse stores.

SHADOWS GATEWAY Purchased a rockport shoes from shadows gateway on 16 of April 2023 it has a defined defect on right foot Took it into store on 17 of April 2024 to get my money to purchase something else and was told to take the shoe and get out of the store.. My advice to customers Please beware when purchasing from shadows gateway store , OWNER has no faith in hes products and behave as if your hard earned cash is hes n the product is of no value to him once in your possession. APPARENTLY it's company policy not to give u YOUR MONEY BACK .WAKE UP PPL WE IN DIFFICULT TIMES ALREADY SPEND WERE YOUR MONEY HAD VALUE

On Monday 30 August 2021 I purchased a pricey men’s shirt from Shadow’s Men’s store at Musgrave Centre. I discovered I had purchased the incorrect size and called the store and was told in no uncertain terms that I was able to swop the shirt without the receipt! I had lost the receipt. It was LESS THAN 24 hours! I had bought the garment on my debit card so they had a record. I have NEVER come across a retail store that REFUSES to swap an item in a matter of hours because I lost the receipt!? I will NEVER shop at Shadows ever again nor will I recommend it to anyone!
