We had my daughters wedding there last weekend. Venue was booked in August 2022 so they would be prepared. All final monies paid 2 weeks before wedding date. We arrived on the friday and had to arrange tables ourselves. Morning of wedding had to help with table laying setup etc. Continental breakfast consisted of 2 tiny cheese ****ins per person for the whole wedding party that slept over on friday eve. Paid seperate and extra for a harvest table - received 4 packets of chips and 2 bowls of dip for 72 guests. After my meltdown a few “ extras” arrived. Not what was promised Food was late. Not enough. Spitbraai where I personally took extra roasts of lamb to ensure enough food. I took 20 kg extra potatoes… we were served with 1 tray of broccoli bake and pumpkin fritters that ran out within first 15 guest to be served. 2 kg rice was cooked for 72 guest. Hardly any gravy. Potatoes was only cooked after meat was done. Halve the guests only had meat. The meat was the only plus point as they contracted out for the spitbraai. My guest that drove between 500 and 800 km for this event went home hungry. My heart extremely sore and disappointed as I am getting seriously negative feedback frim my guest today. The ceremony was beautiful but hosts had nothing to do with that. Shikwari. I am sorry. I can say a-lot more and worse but I cannot recommend your venue with a clear heart to anybody. Your unpreparedness spoilt something We only have once in our lives and can never be rectified. You spoiled something special. I am heartsore and you acted with no remorse

We had a wedding the weekend. On arrival Friday afternoon nothing was done yet. We received our welcome letter which stipulated that there would be sandwiches and a open bar. When asked about it they simply said that we were late. Mind you we got stuck in traffic because of roadworks. Saturday morning they were late with breakfast (not what we agreed on with the food). When the mother of the bride went and asked about the breakfast to take to her mother's room whom is receiving cemo treatment Sue pushed her out of the way from behind the bar saying "no guests are allowed behind the bar" I know guests aren't allowed in the kitchen but one of the staff members asked her to come and see what she wants. The harvest table was an absolute disappointment. They placed three bowls of doritos chips and nuts and when asked about it suddenly went to get the rest of the stuff. It was 42 degrees and mommy's with baby's was refused to sit inside. Only after causing a scene they were allowed in. There was not enough food for 80 guests and was a absolute dissapoint. Some of the food was burnt and over spiced. The wall in the luxury rooms was full of gheco **** and the drawers had used tissues and sanitary wrappers from previous guests. Only after receiving the invoice and comparing it we saw that they charged for stuff we didn't even receive. There happened other stuff which I didn't mention for my own safety. I'm not happy at all and would not recommend this place to anyone. There were a few staff members that did there absolute best and tried to accommodate the people which I am thankful for.
