If I could give them minus stars I would. We sent at least 4 watches back because they arrived broken every time - either the second hand not working, the strap was breaking, one time the whole mechanism inside the watch had fallen skew and the hands fell off. We now have 2 broken smael watches because one was delivered and the one we were returning wasn't picked up. No one at the company will return communications to give us a refund. This was my son's birthday present in April. He still has no birthday present so for Christmas getting him a Casio watch to make up for Birthday and will have to get a Christmas present too. I have no idea how this company is still in business when their product doesn't work

Bought my boy the executive watch for his 15th birthday. First the wrong colour was delivered and it was very quickly returned and the correct colour was sent. Wonderful I thought. But then I realised the small strap that keeps the strap in place was broken. Again, quickly replaced. But now the second hand didn't work. For all 3 watches the correct manual was never sent - it was for a sports watch with completely different functions. We kept asking for it and searched the internet for the right one. Even though the second hand didn't work my son wore the watch to a function and the strap broke, the watch fell and the mechanism shifted. I asked for a refund and was given an address in Kynsna to send the watch. No one has ever picked it up that side, the number I was given no longer exists. The numbers on their website don't work. I've mailed customer services with no response and messaged Facebook and got an automated response telling me to mail customer support. The watch looks beautiful, my son so wanted it. But the quality is shoddy. R800 down the drain and I'm going off to buy a Casio instead

Customer Complaint Review – Smael Watches Delivery Service I recently placed my first order with Smael Watches, and unfortunately, the delivery experience has been nothing but disappointing. The courier service used for delivery is extremely slow and unprofessional. I was informed that the courier had a breakdown and would not be able to deliver my package, which is completely unacceptable. Why is Smael using such an unreliable delivery method? Other companies, like Takealot, ensure fast and efficient deliveries by working with well-established couriers. If Smael partnered with more reliable shipping contractors, I would have received my package a long time ago. Additionally, it's frustrating that Smael products are not available on Takealot, forcing customers to rely on this poor delivery service. This experience has left me with a negative impression, and I hesitate to order again if the shipping process remains this inefficient. I strongly urge Smael to reconsider their logistics and work with professional couriers to improve customer satisfaction.

I feel the need to share this. So after receiving great service from Smael with multiple sunglasses purchases I have received a response I am not happy about. Smael sunglasses had a know defect and they were happy to replace the glasses knowing about this. The replacement pair I got lasted exactly 6 months and then broken in the same place ( the known defect ) The response I got was, was that the glasses are now over 6 months old and the cannot replace them. I am sure with it being the same defect that they should be replaced as the problem was not sorted out with the supplier / manufacturer Lydia seems to not want to entertain a replacement. Cannot keep supporting you if your products quality is never rectified.

I bought a smart watch from SMAEL in Dec 23. It had a function to kayak and this is what I used it for. The watch got wet and soon afterwards stopped working. I contacted SMAEL and they referred me to their T&C. SMAEL stated that they would not refund me or replace the watch. I ask them to reconsider and after more than a week they rep**** stating management would not refund me or replace the watch. All I asked for was for the watch to be replaced.

What exceptional Customer Service. I've ordered a watch for my husband, really a great watch but it wasn't really his liking. I've returned the watch and refund was in my account promptly. Thankyou Lydia you have made my experience all worth while and I will most definitely support you in the future.
