SMH CAR HIRE -RIP OFF - STEALING fm CLIENTS
I have a breakdown on 10 June 2022 . Called Jaguar and they put me on to Europe Assist to help with an hired vehicle . Europe assist was excellent in arranging the hired vehicle from SMH Car Hire .- Gauteng . I WONDER Why as I am based in KZN. SMH Car Hire asked me to pay a refundable security fee of R2500 . I used the hired vehicle from the 10 june 2022 UNTIL 29 June 2022 . I returned the vehicle to Jaguar -PMB as arranged . Vehicle was cleaned , refueled and Sanitized before I returned it. My refundable security fee of R2500 was NOT returned until I queried it on 12 July 2022 . I am now told I have to pay for extras which include E-Toll of R706.84 and Sanitation of R287.50 . TOTAL R994.34 . Remember , I have NOT hired this vehicle from Gauteng as I live in KZN . Why do I have to pay for e -toll for SMH to deliver to me ? I NEVER WENT PAST AN E-TOLL gantry . I believe its a rip off and a scam and I don't agree with them as I did not hire the vehicle . I would have NEVER hired a vehicle fm Gauteng in the first place . Europe Assist and Jaguar S.A have to look into this issue and arrange my full refund .
