I have also received an email stating that I can have a job ready for me but I first must do a backgound check and screening through Smiths Corp SA and to email gavin@smithscorp.co.za but if I tap on the email address given it goes to safiso@agfgroup.co.za and not this gavin guy. I realized immediately that this is a scam. I have send an email and request to the Smith Corp South Africa (admin@smithcorpsouthafrica.co.za)people stating that I will give all this information to a private detective and so today I did after receiving an email with the form that needs to be filled in and that from a email info@smithcorp.co.za. all these different emails tells a story already. Its easy to fall for something that looks legit but in this case all these emails has done is tell me that scammers is getting very creative and clever. Gmail even told me that these emails cannot be verified as it could be spam and not legit emails. So guys please be carefull and always look at email addresses as this can also indicate fraudsters at its best. And companies will always have an interview first before a job will be offered. I am sorry for those who paid money. I hope that justice can be done. I hope this will help in the future also for people who does not know whats real and what not.

I was recently contacted by Executive Career Program Networks via email informing me that I have a job offer and that I will start working within the next week or two but I must first contact Smith Corps for a background check for my new employers. I was initially confused as they addressed me as "Dear Applicant" and not by my name and they didn't say which company wants to hire me and thirdly I couldn't understand why I was responsible to get a background check for a company that wants to hire me, surely that is the recruitment agencies responsibility. I replied to the email asking for further information but the email failed saying that the address cannot be found. Immediately warning lights went off. I then received a follow up email from Executive Career Program Networks but from a different person expressing the urgency for me to get my background check so they can finalize my job offer. i then searched for smith Corps and found what looked like a legit website and emailed them for information. they replied with a form requesting all of my personal information and they were even so kind to offer me a background check at half price. Being the o.c.d person I am, I immediately spotted grammatical and spelling errors all over the documents. I decided to write it off and have no further contact with either company. I also saw another review online when someone was ripped off by them and I'm relieved I didn't give them any personal information. Apart from stealing your money there is the fear of identity theft. There are people out there taking advantage of people who are desperate to find work, please be careful when looking for work online. Please look at these warning signs when looking for work online: https://www.thebalancecareers.com/top-job-scam-warning-signs-2062181. Please don't make payment or give any personal information to these people!

This employment consulting company rushed me to pay for a background check claiming my recruiter wants it urgently for a job placement to be finalized. I have since paid money into their account and they have ignored all emails from thereon. They also don't pick up calls. Working with scam recruitment agencies
