**Subject: Disappointing Experience with SMTAX – Poor Customer Service & Unfair Practices**
I am a small business owner who specializes in company registrations and tax returns. Over the past year, I’ve been using SMTAX for company registrations and have processed over 15 transactions with them. Unfortunately, my most recent experience has left me deeply frustrated and disappointed.
After paying SMTAX R250 for a company registration, I received an email stating that their pricing had increased to R550. I promptly informed my client about the change in price, but unfortunately, the client could not proceed with the registration due to financial constraints and requested a refund.
However, SMTAX flatly refused to refund the full amount and insisted that they could only refund R250 on **15th November 2024**. This delay and lack of flexibility are highly unprofessional, especially considering the circumstances. When I reached out to them, their response was both dismissive and rude, with their team even questioning why I sent the money in the first place, suggesting that I should have checked their website for updated pricing. This is completely unacceptable, as I have been using their same email system for over 15 company registrations without any issue until now.
I want to warn anyone considering doing business with SMTAX to be extremely cautious. Their customer service is poor, their policies are unreasonable, and they fail to communicate effectively with their clients. They have demonstrated no willingness to support small businesses or provide fair solutions when issues arise.
Please stay away from this company. I will be taking my business elsewhere going forward and would advise others to do the same.
