Soho Sandton
Yesterday, on 8th May 2022 I went to Soho in Sandton for à pedicure. This was going to be my mother's day self-pampering. I arrived after 9.30am had my temperature 36.2 taken and asked what treatment I wanted to do.
(Mind you, I had called Soho on Satuday, 7 May 2022 at 10h32 to make an appointment for Sunday. They told me they did not operate on appointments but rather walk-ins.)
I said I came for a pedicure. I have patronised Soho for some time before this experience. I was not a new client.
The receptionist then asked me if my nails were brown and that there is a new policy that brown nails are not treated. I showed her my nails. Then she accompanied me to the pedicure station to observe while the technician took a further examination of my nail. The technician said she will go tell this receptionist that I have been there several times and my nails did not have fungus.
The receptionist said to me sorry Nomvula we cannot give you a pedicure on the basis that your toenails are brown.
Mind you this is not a medical analysis but what she said the new Soho policy states.
My mother's day outing in Sandton was ruined by Soho attitude and I felt so ashamed and humiliated What did I do wrong?
