I regret the day I chose to buy the solar equipment at SolarNerd, Mayville Pretoria. The Battery 48V - Dyn 48KW Lithium Ion which cost me R28, 749.94 only lasted for 9 days. The beginning it took more than 2 full days to get the battery programmed and running. They control the configuration settings remotely, which is a bit strange to me. On the 9th day the battery lost communication with the Inverter but all lights were on. The electrician who came and checked what is wrong with the battery, recommended that the battery must go back to the shop for repairs. The shop took the battery and said if it’s a small issue it might take 2 weeks’ time to be back. When I made a follow-up after 2 weeks they said they didn’t get feedback from the repairs. They recommended that I wait for 6 weeks. When I made a follow-up through email on the 7th week, they said they still did not get feedback. I asked for estimated time, they never responded to date. I contacted Dyness SA with a hope that the battery is with them but they said I must communicate with the supplier. Which meant that I am stuck with SolarNerd's bad attitude. Lack of customer care, especially aftercare service. They are just a reseller who doesn’t know or care about resolving product issues. They don’t have good communication between themselves and their OEM. I don’t believe that they took the battery to the OEM because they are unable to get feedback, there’s no OEM who’s unable to respond to their client about their product. I hope and pray they do not bring back a dead battery and dump it to me especially that I am taking this issue up and also hope that my R28,749.94 has not gone down the drain as they are enjoying it. My communication with them it’s a bit strange because it’s like you are just irritating them.
