In January 2014, I decided to have a solar geyser installed. Did some research and came across a company (reputable and an Eskom approved installer) that claimed that their geysers were among the best on the market and that the geysers are German made and imported from that country. Had it installed at a cost of R29000. Since then I have had endless problems with this make of geyser at times 4/5/6 times a year due to leaking valves - (vacuum and relief valves). The geyser was even replaced in 2017 because of these inferior components. If ever anybody wants to install a solar geyser, please stay away from a Solartech or Solsquare geyser.....STAY AWAY......STAY AWAY. You'll be 100 times better off going for a locally made geyser......I promise you....My geyser is leaking now as I am writing this complaint and I am considering removing it and going back to my electric geyser.
