I had my tint redone at Soundmatch Plumstead on February 17th this year. Less than a month later, I noticed bubbles appearing on all my windows. I immediately contacted them to inform them of the issue, and they asked me to wait until a full month had passed. After waiting, I requested that they redo the tint since it was still within the warranty period. I took my car in for inspection, and while there, the tint technician mentioned the percentage of tint app**** to my vehicle. I told him that it didn’t seem correct, as I had been told that the tint would be at the percentage I requested. When I first picked up my car on February 17th, I had doubts because the tint appeared lighter than my previous one, so I asked his colleague at the time if he was sure it was the right percentage. He assured me it was. However, when I returned for the inspection, I learned that they had app**** a different tint percentage than what I had requested, which was a lie and misleading.
On April 5th, I had the tint redone. After completing the side windows, one of the workers approached me about the potential risk of removing the tint from the back windows. However, when they initially tinted my car in February, there was no tint on the back window, and I had allowed them to apply it. The worker explained that the lines on the back window were demisters and that removing the tint could potentially damage them. The tint technician also mentioned that he had injured his finger and wasn’t working at full capacity, which made me even more uneasy. I had already lost trust in both the technician and the business, so I decided not to allow them to proceed with the removal for fear of damaging my demister and causing further issues.
I feel that before they app**** the tint, they should have informed me about the risks, especially since I’m still young and lack a lot of knowledge about cars. I’m deeply disappointed by their lack of honesty and reliability from the start. When I spoke to the technician about the bubbles on my windows, he refused to take any responsibility. When I expressed my disappointment, he remarked that it didn’t seem like a problem for me and that it appeared I was doing well financially, implying that the mistake wouldn’t cause me any financial hardship. I found this remark completely inappropriate, as it made me feel judged and dismissed, as though my concerns weren’t being taken seriously.
I’m sharing this experience to raise awareness and hopefully prevent others from facing similar issues.
