I am extremely disappointed with the unprofessional and negligent treatment my sister received from South West Gauteng College Roodepoort. After applying and being accepted, she received an SMS instructing her to register, which she did successfully. she even secured NSFAS funding, yet after waiting since December, she was suddenly told that she never registered. When she visited the campus with proof of my registration, staff refused to assist her. They ignored her concerns and dismissed her without any explanation, telling her to “try again next year.” This is completely unacceptable and shows a lack of care for students who follow the correct procedures. I demand an immediate response and correction of this error, as she has done everything required on her end. Institutions should be held accountable for such administrative failures, as they negatively impact students' futures. If you are considering studying here, be cautious, as their administration is highly unreliable and unhelpful. I will escalate this matter to the Gauteng Department of Education (GDE), the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET), and NSFAS if she does not receive a fair resolution. #UnfairTreatment #NSFAS #StudentRights #PoorService

I don't even know where to start I app**** at South West Gauteng tvet College- Roodepoort campus( horizon) last year(2024) immediately when applications opened and at the reception where they were helping me with applications told me where to upload my documents and I did as instructed, I went twice last year and they said yes my application was submitted and everything is fine I must just wait for an acceptance sms or call Nov goes by Dec goes but still nothing no feedback, Now 10 January, I go there again to find out why I haven't been contacted and to my surprise they say they can't find my documents just an application, so another lady at the reception says tells me where to upload and I do it in front if her and show her and she says I must wait for a call on Monday/Tuesday(13/14 Jan) I have uploaded my documents those days went past I called their number their website and it took me to their call center and the lady tells me to check on my student portal by application admission status and I come to find it still says my documents aren't uploaded but I did everything I was told by staff but my documents are still not uploaded hindering my application, people who app**** way later than me people who app**** late have been accepted and I'm sitting at home shocked as to what is happened, they were negligent, occupied with other matters while you try to get help I'm stuck at this moment all because of South West Gauteng tvet College and it's staff I want justice please

For the governament to refer 2024 matric to TVET colleges because of universities are full isn't a problem but the problem is referring them to TVET colleges such is this one particularly Molapo campus for a campus that is so close to the Head Office I'm not expecting such black people behaviour for an institution that believes in batho pele its all about them. Firstly before you consider this campus look at other TVETs cause here during registration you will be treated like a headless chicken cause no one knows whats happening from Management to SRC which makes me wonder how they were elected. If you are not a popular student you are treated like **** that's how you are able to registered quicker and get access to other things easier. I wish to know the selection process when it calls to lecturer cause those people are rude to the core and don't know how to treat students or parents proper they feel they are superior from all and the campus management allows them, you can hear from their tone when you ask them a simple question they responses is so condescending. One lecturer without realising that I was a guardian there spoke to me out of term today and I was very quick to dismiss him for his rude behaviour and a staff member (the coloured lady who works on the resource centre or library as they call it) was quick to tell me that he was a Lecturer and I respond that he wasn't my lecturer and it doesn't permit him to speak to me like that, so I guess its the kind of behaviour that is allowed there and that's how your children will be treated, its as if the lecturers are picked from the streets or tarvens. I wish the campus would be more professional and understanding that when people come for registration they lack information and are confused on where to go and what do. I wish they would be proper trained on emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills as well as preparing on time regarding registration and who will do what and how that will help all of us to complete everything on time with no hassle and systems dying conveniently at 14:30 pm and not mentioning it to their prospective clients but because we are desperate for our kids to get an education we have to allow such disgusting behaviour heard parents and children saying that they are expecting such black tendencies at this campus because its in Soweto but going to Roodepoort and Roodepoort West you will get good service and because I have first hand experience I agree but it shouldn't be like that. Even though I'm not expectating any response from this but as a concern parent I want this to assist prospective clients to know about this campus and to look for other colleges like CJCs and other government registered colleges cause they might be better and this one ain't it.

If i could give no star rating I would. I have app**** and paid for my level 2 certificate over a year ago and still no luck in receiving it. when you call the number on the website you get no response. When eventually you do get through. The phone is answered as if you calling a friend "HELLO". Then when you enquire about how long it will take they say you just have to wait. WHAT SERVICE IS THIS at a learning institute ????? wow I wonder what students are being taught!! POOR service totally. please think twice before choosing to study here!

The level of u professionalism and not caring speaks volumes. I am so dissapointed in the college, there's a lot that happened and it just sad that even after all that happened I still wanted to go study here but the last straw was when I was given a lame excuse the a watsapp number to communicate my concern. The watsapp is there and I only got one response with no details and even when I sent a follow up questjon; no response was given to me. I'm never applying to study there or telling anyone I know to do so. Very dissapointed and amused by the lack of communication and changes.

Good day My name is Nonkululeko Bonolo Matyila and my student number is 571805018 I have a complaint about my marks. At 2021 I passed and I got a mark of 53% so last year 2023 I decided to go and re do or upgrade the subject and yet again it came back as 53% so I feel like my things were not submitted or they didn't mark. When I ask the lecture she just answered in this way "IT COULD BE"
