Today (29/11/2025) at around 12pm I visited Spar at Megacity in uMlazi. I went to buy a 12 pack of Savanna angry lemon and I was happy to see that they got a sale of 2x6 330ml for R200. So I took and proceeded to the till and only to find out that it was not on sale as per banner place on it. The cashier went to check for and she so that it was incorrectly placed. So I requested to see the manager (Thabani Gumede). The cashier called him he came and as the cashier was trying to explain the problem he dismissed her there on the spot. I asked him to please let the cashier explain before dismissing her and he then dismissed me too. He wasn't having it and I told him that they is a problem of miss leading adverti*****t and he told us (me & the cashier) if they is a post which states the item it R2 but the actual price it R2000 and I was incorrectly placed must he sell that for that price? Instead of acknowledging the problem and addressing it in a professional manner he kept on being dismissed and rude. I felt belittled and disrespected. But then j remembered that they was an incident that happened at Mega Philani Spar where the manager was also rude to the customer. I'm not sure if that is the instruction that is come from Spar executive.
