Do not refund deposits, ****, store struggling or just terrible service?
You will not get your deposit back even if the dress is in perfect condition! The owner said I was accidentally paid short I was paid R200 instead of R2000 and she will correct it.... 2 weeks later still nothing. Messages are been ignore, calls are been ignore. Pathetic service from the owner! It's such a shame because the employees are so lovely, friendly and helpful.

You will not get your deposit back even if the dress is in perfect condition! The owner said I was accidentally paid short I was paid R200 instead of R2000 and she will correct it.... 2 weeks later still nothing. Messages are been ignore, calls are been ignore. Pathetic service from the owner! It's such a shame because the employees are so lovely, friendly and helpful.

Special Occasions very slow in returning deposits
Lovely dresses, assistance is excellent but that's about where it stops. I hired a dress for my daughters wedding. I was promised that alterations would be made as requested. On the Friday morning of collection, the alterations were not made as promised as the owner said no alterations were allowed. I then requested my money back. Then al of a sudden the alteration could be made. The dress was returned in a good condition the Monday morning and was informed that it takes 2 weeks to return the deposit. It has now been two weeks and no deposit has been returned. No reply to my email and no response to whatsapp. Be aware of the admin implication when hiring a dress from Special Occasions.

Bad Service
Not very helpful, staff is not very friendly, they don't keep with their prices, they don't know how to organize or keep track of orders and fittings. The manager is also hard to get in touch with, probably because she already knows how her business is operating

Scam store!
This is the one place i will never go near again and will never send anyone to her wither We rented dresses on 28.10.2021 and they insisted it be paid there and then and that all funds clear in thei account. so bridesmaid dresses were paid. The bride paid her rental deposit and was to pay balane on collection. The veil of her dress was a seperate payment and Mckaylin knew it was a seperate as it was a gift to bride, Thus it was paid in full as well. The bride had a very small budget. Bride ended up not collecting the dress and only teh bridesmaid dresses. An email was sent to advise teh dress will nto be collected. Dresses returned early and on time the monday. Mckaylin says that she will check on teh veil but that the deposit most likely will be returned. and will notify us on teh 1 bridesmaid dress as it apparently has srains on. Rose then calls the wedneday to say the dresses has been cleaned and that 2 dresses will be refunded but 1 has stains etc. Also now claims veil damage deposit cannot be retunred due to dress not being collected but tehy have teh dress damage deporit and teh veil was never even used thus in perfect condition and no need to retain damage deposit. She also states that payment is being processed now. Says bride owes them money - but when bride calls her she says no money is due Its been 2 weeks since, no funds. Natasha wont answer her phone and sms saying she paid money. No money reflected in any account. Rose confirms on statement no money was paid and is now unavailable. I have never had a worst experiece of theft and lies from a business owner!

Dishonest Company that has no respect for Clients
Guys!Beware of this business they do alterations which breaks on the day like our straps on our dresses on the wedding day.Then you don't recieve your refund.No seriously you don't, you must call for your refund and after a month of waiting for your refund you still don't get your refund.You get agents promising to call you back and the owner is forever not at the business to make sure your refund gets done and when you query it no1 knows anything about it....This is dishonesty on another level...if you don't believe me read other people's experiences....

Dishonest business
Dishonest owner Natasha who fails to return our damage deposit even when we never recieved the dress.There aftercare and service after your initial visit is completely bad.Dont hire dresses there would be my advise as im now Still struggling after months while the owner is not responding at all.

Dishonest business
