Speck Pumps Refuse to Adhere to Warranty.
I bought a Speck Pumps Rechargeable Spa and Liner-Pool Vac from Takealot in August. Lasted 3 Months. I used it to clean a small 1x1m pond. It started switching on by itself while packed away and died shortly after, under warranty. Speck pumps refused to repair or replace the unit and blamed me for water damage, claiming I submerged the unit - Which I did not do, I cant even fit the unit in my pond diagonally, I would would have to run a bath and submerge it there or go to the neighbors and use their pool :D Anyway don't buy one of these, it is not a robust device and will break.

Formal Complaint – Faulty Speck Pool Pump & Lack of Service
I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with both the product and service I have received. In March 2025, I purchased a Speck Pool Pump from Pool Team Sunward Park. Within just six months, the pump completely failed. The Pool Team collected the pump and sent it to the supplier, Speck, but since then, the entire experience has been nothing short of unacceptable. For over a week, I have been promised feedback yet no one has contacted me. I have had to call daily, only to receive excuses or empty promises of a call-back that never happens. Meanwhile, my pool has been left in a green, unusable state because of this delay. The lack of accountability and customer care shown by both Pool Team Sunward Park and Speck Pumps has been extremely frustrating. What should have been handled swiftly under warranty has instead left me without a working pump, no feedback, and no resolution. At this stage, I cannot recommend either company to anyone seeking reliable pool products or after-sales support. I expect urgent action to resolve this matter — whether it be a replacement pump, repair, or a refund — and clear communication from your side without further delay.

Speck say they cannot repair the switch nor will they replace the product! They have offered a discount instead. I do not recommend there products nor their customer relationships. Be advised, this product is sold on Temu, Livestainable, Leroy Merlin, Brights Hardware, Takealot.

Excellent service from Speck Pumps Durban.
I needed spares to repair my swimming pool pump this week and had really excellent service from the team at Speck Pumps Durban. They were really friendly and went out of their way to assist me. The pump itself is also great, constructed with solid plastic and all stainless steel fasteners - it was easy to strip and repair.

Excellent service from Speck Pumps Durban.
I needed spares to repair my swimming pool pump this week and had really excellent service from the team at Speck Pumps Durban. They were really friendly and went out of their way to assist me. The pump itself is also great, constructed with solid plastic and all stainless steel fasteners - it was easy to strip and repair.

DO NOT BUY ANY SPECK PUMP PRODUCTS POOR SERVICE AND QUALITY
I purchased a Speck Pool Cleaner from One Day Only on the 19th April 2023. Installed it exactly as per the instructions. It worked fine for a couple of minutes and then stops. It sucks itself to my pool wall and if you tug on the pipes it starts again for a couple of minutes and then stops. It also cleans in a figure of 8 and doesn't matter how you adjust it it stays the same. I contacted Speck Pumps Pretoria and they were not very helpful. I placed a complaint on their website and was contacted by Amor Straus. She arranged for the pool cleaner to be collected so they can test it. It was collected and apparently tested in two different pools and I was informed that there is nothing wrong with the cleaner. They returned it, and guess what, it does exactly the same. I sent them another email and to date no reply to my email. I would not recommend any of their products and the after sales service is pathetic.

Pathetic service First when you call switchboard is in Cape Town, leave a message for jhb branch, nobody bothers to call When you call the branch manager, First we send a pump to be fixed under warranty on the 30th of March 3 weeks later no news, following up by email still no news. When I eventually wrote to manager, he apologises and say he doesn’t know what’s happening, when he finally gets someone to contact me, we make arrangements for payment which I did and forwarded pop. It was on Tuesday, we then arranged for a drop off when their team is doing deliveries in Randburg area. Thursdays delivery to us never happened, regardless of the fact that pump was loaded on the truck. When I call on Friday to ask; I get another cold shoulder and then manager says he’s calling the shop again to find out why. He’s basically out of excuses to give me. When the driver finally arrived for a drop off, he tells me long story about leaving depot at 12pm so he couldn’t make it to us, only us. He then managed to deliver at other places except for us. When I then say why, his response was he turned back since it was almost his knock off time. I don’t wish to deal with this company anymore. no warranty - warranty
Bought a property in Sep 2021 that had a Speck Pools pool-pump installed in July of that same year. The pool pump was sold by Brandon's Pools with a 3 (three) year warranty. The pump stopped working about a month ago, and Brandon's Pools were called in to attend to whatever repairs were required. They removed the pump, and sent it to Speck Pumps for inspection. I spoke to Colin from Brandon's about 4 days after the pump was removed, and he promised to check the progress with Speck, and revert. This never happened, and a week later, I received a quotation from Brandon's for almost R7,000 for a new pump. No courtesy call. No explanation. Just a request for more money. I called them and spoke to Anton, who told me to call technician at Speck Pumps. The technician was annoyed that I was referred to them, and because I would not just accept their decision that whatever the problem was, was not covered by the warranty. Much frustration later, I received a report that the motor had flooded, without any plausible reason for this. I spoke to Raffick at Speck, who also promised to look into the matter, and revert. I have not heard from Raffick or anyone else at Speck since. Long story short, my insurance providers sent an assessor to my home, and whilst they have agreed to replace the motor, he could not see how the motor could have flooded as a result of misuse, nor could he find a water flood-line on the sand filter, or the DB, both of which are located right next to where the pump was. Also, the entire installation was done by Brandon's so it would have met their installation requirements. Based on my experience here, if you're looking for a pool pump manufacturer or supply company, that also delivers good service and will honor their warranty, then I cannot with a clear conscience recommend either Brandon Pools, nor Speck Pumps.

most dishonest company i have ever dealt with
most dishonest company to deal with.wont honor my 3 year warranty.it still has 2 years left.they blame everything on water damage.this means that their pumps are not waterproof.all pool pumps are supposed to be waterproof. avoid at all costs
