Poor workmanship and no resolution – Dial a Contractor / Sphinx
I engaged Dial a Contractor (also trading as Sphinx) for plastering work at my property. Amount paid: R72,500 Work delivered: defective and requires significant rectification Independent rectification cost: R47,000+ Despite raising the issues: The defects were disputed No proper remedy was provided RPoor workmanship and no resolution – Dial a Contractor / Sphinxectification work is now underway due to the condition of the original work. Attempts were made to resolve the matter directly, however no satisfactory outcome was reached. The matter has now been escalated through formal consumer channels.

Veranda enclosure done right – beautiful finish and great project management
We recently used Spinx Property Maintenance for the build-out and enclosure of our veranda, and overall the result is genuinely exceptional. There were a few minor issues along the way (as with most building work), but what really stood out was how quickly the project manager picked them up and resolved them — no excuses, no delays, just sorted out properly in no time at all. The finished project turned out amazing and my guests can’t stop raving about it. The workmanship is top class — from the tiles, to the roof, to the aluminium sliding windows, everything looks clean, solid, and professionally done. The finish is honestly perfect, and it’s completely transformed the space. I couldn’t be happier. The whole job turned out to be a real success and I would absolutely recommend Spinx to anyone looking for quality property maintenance and building work.
