Sport and fitness club Alberton

I messaged the sales person at alberton sport and fitness club and told him a day after i signed up for a membership and told him I'm going to cancel my membership (Note that i haven't payed a access fee or any fees yet) and he told me that i need to come back to the gym and talk to the accounts people for cancelation, i told him i didn't pay anything or approved any Debit orders so then why I'm then not part of the gym. A few days after i received a Email of the gym that said welcome to the gym, So a few days ago the same sales person messaged me and said that my debit order came back as failed transaction and i need to pay almost R1000 for the month and the R500 for cancelation fees before a certain time. Now they want to hand me over to dept collections after i cancelled my membership.
