<p>I booked sound equipment and a generator with Standing Ovations Entertainment for my beach wedding. I paid and received 2 SMS,s confirming receipt of payment. On the day my maid of honor contacts Micheal to make sure that everything is in order, only to be told that there is no booking for us, so my husband sends him proof of payment and he says that he will see what he can do. He called my husband back and informed him that the guys are enroute with extension cords and the equipment because he could not find a generator. Firstly I did not pay for extension cords, I paid for a generator, secondly as everyone knows there is no power supply on the beach, so the equipment would be useless. On the day he agreed that he would sort the refund out the following week. I return from Honeymoon 2 weeks later still not having received the refund and struggled to get hold of Michael for 2 weeks thereafter. Eventually my husband got hold of them and was told that they will not be refunding us because we cancelled and their invoice states that no refunds are given for cancellations. They also failed to inform me that they outsource the equipment hire to other companies, had I known this... I would have booked directly with a proper company.</p> <p> </p> <p>I am deeply disappointed by this company,s lack of empathy and don't care attitude. How can they expect money for equipment we never received and for breaching the agreement. I had no sound equipment on my wedding day of all days because of Michael & Standing Ovations incompetence. I refuse to let this go, I am currently taking it further and I warn everyone against using this company. They are unethical and have no problem stealing people's hard earned money and then plead innocence when they are wrong!!! PLEASE BE CAREFUL OF THESE CROOKS!
