I bought a stanley bottle 2 years ago. Had to get a replacement part this past month. No big deal, stanley has a lifetime warranty right? Wrong. Was told it is under warranty and a replacement would be sent to me, they asked for my details and that was that. My replacement is on its way. Only to he phoned by UPS today with an outstanding amount of R299, and if i do not pay in the next 3 days I would be fined R5000 + 10% VAT. For a bottle lid?! No cost was ever mentioned, as I would definitely not have continued with the warranty process. Why even advertise a lifetime warranty if I still have to pay for the part? Super disappointed, they lost a loyal stanley customer. The extra cost for lifetime warranty means nothing.
