Misleading advertising on Star Furnishings website
The worst ever and misleading website. I have been looking for a new washing machine and being a pensioner I look for a bargain then this morning I found a washing machine on the website of a company called Stars Furnishings in Killarney Gardens. According to their website they had 6kg Goldair Washing machine at R3300.00 which was fantastic and that they had 2 left. So off I went, with a friend, and after eventually finding their premises I get told that they were sold out last week. Now as far as I am aware and concerned this is what they have advertised and therefore should be obligated to supply. But, according to the owner,(who was very unhelpful) says they couldn't order any more, no reason given for this and then gives the excuse that they are busy changing their website, This is unacceptable and would not recommend anybody purchase anything from them.

01 Dec 2020, 16:45This review is very unfair and inaccurate. Our website is not misleading and we post true real items as they become available, and delete as they sell. You came a day before Black Friday, and since our prices are much less then in other shops, our items sell quickly. We offered other options to you.

01 Dec 2020, 16:48We were very polite and respectful to you. We explained that as a second hand shop we do not have a way to reorder stock, once the unit sells we cant get more. Even on our new appliances since we get liquidated stock, we get what we get and no option to reorder.

01 Dec 2020, 16:52Your definition of the owner being unhelpful is based on the fact that we told you that we are not able to order more stock, which is out of our hands. But you don't mention that we explained that they sold out and explained why you might have seen it on the website prior to then selling out.

01 Dec 2020, 16:55This review really comes down to you being upset missing out on a cheap brand new washing machine. You did not take into consideration that even if you looked the same day in the morning and the item was available, and someone could come 5 minutes before you and purchase it.

01 Dec 2020, 16:57Even the title of this post stating that we had a "Misleading advertising on Star Furnishings website" is 100% false. Our post was of two washing machines which were available, and sold prior to you coming into our shop.
