In Dec 22 we bought a house in George. We had a tenant in the house till end of June 23. The gate motor kept giving issues and the tenant arranged someone to sort out which end up being Stephan Van Rooyen from Smart Solutions. This was done in March and payment was made by myself and all seemed OK. Then April arrived and with load shedding the battery was not sufficient enough to last the opening and closing operations. After a lot of back and forth it was decided on Stephans suggestion he add extra battery and solar charger for the gate setup. I paid 26th April and since then you will mot believe the run around we have been getting. It's almost August and we still have no solution. He claims to work at Perto SA which I have managed to find a contact to confirm this, as this is his biggest excuse that they work him to the bone. His address on his quotes and invoices are for George but he says he lives in Mossel bay. I went to his place to confirm this. He moved as travel to Petro Sa was too much. Can't help but feel I have been ******* proper here. Although I asked for refund which was denied as he said he has the equipment already he purchased and will get to me or drop off which never happens. I'm now done being nice. If anyone comes across this chap in the meantime whilst I track via Petro SA, please let me know . Ek gaan vir hom hard bliksem. It's not about the money anymore, it's primarily principles. I'll also be laying a charge today at the police station as well here in George as well Richard's bay here he frequents.

Scam artist!!! Garage doors in George
Stephan Van Rooyen of smart solutions quotes us on two garage doors to the value of 33000. We paid up front as most suppliers don’t have cash to carry themselves which as a small business we understand. So we helped smart solutions garage doors out and what happened. Stephan gave us the run around with the usual bull****. Long story short. We paid and Stephan Van Rooyen of smart solutions in George, western Cape. Sad as he could build a business but like so many before him turn out to be a dishonest businessman. I have sent message after message. I have asked him to chat with me but to no avail. Just a warning to other honest citizens. Stay away from Stephan Van Rooyen. If he is willing let him call Me. Graeme Schewitz
