Very frustrated and annoyed.
I took my Landrover defender in for an issue relating to it loosing power when idling. I booked an appointment and dropped my car off early on Monday morning and explained the issue to them, they said they would do all the checks and phone me with a quote.
They phoned me on Tuesday and said that my car needs an EGR delete and that it needed a service and also gave me a list of parts that needed to be replaced. I consented to this as I wanted to get the issue fixed.
On Wednesday morning I phoned them to find out when I could collect my car and they could not give me an exact time.
When I eventually was able to collect my car I went to the dealership and asked them what the issue was in the end. To which the man behind the desk said “we couldn’t detect any issue”. But they replaced a whole bunch of parts, did a service and did the EGR delete and then said “we hope this solves the issue”.
I then had to pay over R 10K for all the unnecessary repairs. When I asked them if they had written in my service book they rep**** that they couldn’t find it ( there is one compartment in my vehicle), so this also means they hadn’t checked when last it had a service or any of it’s history.
On Friday I noticed that the issue is still happening and that all the ‘repairs’ they did made no difference. Frustrated and irritated I thought I’d just forget about them, cut my looses and take my car in to a reputable repairs garage.
However, today I noticed that they branded my car with their company logo so now my car has big writing on the back window that says “Steve’s auto clinic- Milnerton”. This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional and was the tipping point for me to write this review.
If you are reading this review to see what type of service they provide, please safe yourself the hassle and do not take your car to these sharks.
