Pleading with Marthinus from Stoltz electrical to sort out my inverter.
I've had a Inverter installed by Marthinus Johannes Stoltz on the 30th of November 2022. On the 17th of December the inverter started giving problems and freezing. I informed Marthinus and he said to change a few settings. Marthinus would then send me messages to change settings to make more efficient. A month later same thing started happening. Since March 2023 the unit started freezing up more often and also, the batteries would run down even when there was no loadshedding. He came out twice and told me there is no issue.
I then sent him videos and messages almost daily showing the inverter not working and all he would say is that he does not know what to tell me. He then told me he cannot fulfill his warranty and guarantee as he has changed suppliers.
He then blocked me on all forms of communication and refuses to sort out this issue.
I had him install the inverter so that I have piece of mind when traveling out.
I now have a Inverter installed that only lasts for 40min, having 2 lights on as well as the wifi.
ALL I am asking, is for him to please come and sort this issue out and fulfill his contract agreement.
Replace what needs replacing or come and remove the items and give my money back.

30 Jun 2023, 05:34Fact is that I came out 3 times and each time it was a round trip of 150km for me on my cost . I did test the system for 1 hour each time with no problems and I have video's to prove that. You send me video's with end result problems and I wonder how you got there. Each time I was there it was DAY time and it worked fine but during the night there is a issue and I told you that and it seems there was work done on lights and that seems to have an impact - not sure what work was done months after my installation. Fact is all my suppliers now don't want to give any type of warranty on any GEL battery or honor the warranty . Also take note that a GEL battery has less cycles and the with each cycle the battery performance gets less and less on a GEL battery. Your batteries are still working but the life cycles are getting less . Its not that I did anything wrong but the fact that the battery cycles are being used to the max and no battery will last forever. I don't make use of any type of Gel battery anymore. I will never know if the 3KW inverter is used to the maximum and that pulls the 24V batteries down in a short time. Suppliers call that battery abuse.

The battery was never used with more than a 10% load. And most of the time it has to be at night, because we inky get home after 6pm in the evening.
You have a 1 year warrrany on guarantee on your invoice. And you came out twice in this year and still nothing was sorted out.
If it's the 150km of driving that you are complaining about, I will pay for your petrol. If it means you can come out and sort out the issues.
Bottom line is, the system you fitted has not been up to standard since the 1st 2 weeks of installation.
You are now running away from your guarantee on your invoice and all the promises you made.
Like I said before, if you want to go the legal route, I will then do that.
27k is not small money to me for a system not to work as it should after 2 weeks and even worse after 3 months.
I have friends with a mercer box unit that runs and powers more than my change over inverter you installed.
Please honor your invoice.

I also added as surge protector to the ESKOM supply side on your main DB and did not get paid for that also.
5 June 2023 I came back and replaced the new inverter with old inverter because inverter was working fine and not the problem --That day I had time, so I tested the system for a hour and made 6 video's that was send to you. I did honor my warranty so far and just blocked you because I do feel that you are not giving me te full story and every time I came to check the system worked fine. I did ask you to do load shedding without 1 of the circuits on your main DB each time to see what circuit is causing the power drain during the nighttime. It's also your responsibility as a client to understand what was done and changed to have an influence on your system. Remember it work fine for a long time before issue started. (Not 2 week more like 2 months)

Nothing in my home has changed since you installed the unit. As I stated the same day after you were there, the system was not working. And you complained to say you will have to pay for batteries as that could be the fault. Then you blocked me. But that's all well and good.
I will then take matters further with lawyers of it has to come to that. And have no issues seeing this through.
I am not someone to do anyone in as I mentioned to you on over the phone. All I want is for the system not to freeze up as it did since the 17 december. And for you to sort out the issue of the batteries lasting 3 to 4 months only.
You will be contacted by my Attorney in due time.
