Mtn has got to be the worst network provider I've ever dealt with. I had a phone contract with mtn for the past 3 years, due to the loss of income I was unable to keep up with payments. My device has been blacklisted and account handed over to attorneys(Strauss Daly). I started a new job and was able to make payment arrangements with Strauss Daly. My outstanding balance was R7488,26. I paid R6000 to Strauss Daly. Then Mtn got new attorneys who is currently dealing with their collections.(Hammond Pole), I phoned them to confirm my settlement of R1488.26 which i received an email from them confirming this settlement amount. After paying Hammond Pole the final balance, i asked for a settlement letter to ensure my account is closed and device unblocked. I am now struggling to get that letter . I've been in contact with Hammond pole asking for a settlement letter, which they now state they're unable to provide me with one because I have an outstanding balance of R4750 yet I received the email from them stating that my settlement amont is R1488 26. I have sent in all my proof of payments to Hammond Pole and am still getting the runaround as they can't track my payments. I've been getting the runaround from MTN, Strauss Daly and Hammond Pole for the past 2 months now. Not one of them can provide me with a full statement or tell me what happened to my R7488.26 that I have already paid. This is not only affecting my credit score but also my daily life as a small business owner! I want my device removed from the blacklist and my settlement letter from MTN A.S.A.P! I cannot use my device unless im connected to wifi and that is unacceptable as I have settled my account. MTN doesn't even try to assist but obviously if money is collected the attorneys pay them. Not mtn, nor Strauss Daly or HP is interested in resolving this. I will be contacting the ombudsman as this is ridiculous in a time like this. MTN AND ITS ATTORNEYS ARE ****MERS. HAMMOND POLE sends you a settlement amount in writing you pay them but when u ask for the proof that the account is settled in full now I owe them what I paid Strauss. Strauss just says they no longer have any records because MTN took the acc away from them. Im a frustrated customer. MTN I will never use ever again.
