I am trying to settle an outstanding account originally with Woolworths, which is now with Strauss Daly Attorneys. I approached them in good faith because I want to resolve and close this account. As your records reflect, I have been making consistent monthly payments on this account for several years in good faith in an effort to resolve the debt. However despite these payments, the balance has reduced VERY slowly due to ongoing interest and fees. During a recent phone conversation I was advised that Woolworths is only willing to offer a 20% settlement discount. Unfortunately this amount is still far beyond what i can realistically afford given my current financial circumstances. I have made significant adjustments to manage my living expenses, including moving to a cheaper medical aid plan, yet the settlement offer remains unaffordable. This account has been outstanding 2021 and i am genuinely trying to settle responsibly. Despite my efforts, the current settlement position does not allow me to resolve this matter. I feel unheard in my plight and would appreciate if I can be accommodated . Also I requested this last week Monday from LLoyd and I had to call today to follow up. I want senior management to seriously consider my request as im not at all happy with the 20% discount offer.

My husbands Finchoice account was first handled my Norton Lambrianos Att. Since November 2025 we are requesting for a detail statement of account from 2024 when the account was handed over. Two weeks ago we received messages that Strauss Daly Attorneys are no dealing with this matter. My husband send them a detail request that he want proof that they are now dealing with his account and that he want a detail statement of account from 2024 for some of our payments are not reflecting for what they have outstanding and per our recon there is a difference. No statement but sms'e of what they want us to pay and even a settlement letter. When we phone the most rude person answer the phone. Why do collection agency's tread you like ........ but if we as client as for info there is a delaying tactic. So they go do what ever they want and if you are firm back with them it is an issue. We must keep making payment with no sense of urgency of compliance to the clients request. Think all these agency must first get a course on how to be human. Please I dont need the automated reply

The City of Johannesburg requires certain documentation from the transferring attorneys in order to process a refund and correct the account. I have requested this documentation and assistance multiple times. To date, there has been no proper response, no clear communication, and no urgency shown in resolving this matter. During the transfer process, there was regular communication whenever documents or action were required from my side. Now that I require assistance with finalising an issue that arose from the same transfer, my emails are being ignored. This matter has been ongoing for months and has caused financial prejudice and frustration. I have requested meetings and calls, but there has been no proper engagement. If this matter is not resolved urgently, I will be left with no choice but to escalate it further. I hope this review prompts immediate attention and a proper resolution.

Highly dissapointed, I have reported several times to this company I'm currently unemployed an going through a divorce process, an it's painful to not be considered when such is raised. To my suprice, I have lost my previous number last year an have not revieved any recent emails since November an suddenly I get summons from tenent who stays were I used to stay as insosnce moved due to my situation. I have letter stating I'm unemployed an I have no source of income currently at all. I have moved as I'm going through divorce process an to be summoned in a place you even far from. How will I get to Pretoria if I don't have any source of income? Last communication by email revieved was in November. I know I could keep up with payments but if you don't have nay cent to pay, how must you pay? I'm going though alot here an wish I had atleast further given time, just imagine the disgrace for someone who is not ne getting my personal things. Something that's private to me. I think even if you tried my contact an couldn't get me as I lost contact I could have atleast be send recent email u like exposing my private things to a stranger. Morning, I've settled my FINCHOICE account a year and a half ago. Till this day I haven't received my paid up letter and my account is now handed over to another entity. I've called and sent a numerous WhatsApp just to be told it was send when I didn't receive anything, what I dont understand is if they already have it on their system then why are they not resending?

Made arrangements of R1500 for my MTN account with them on the 11th of October 2024 which started deduction on the 25th of October until 25 September 2025. This arrangement was made in accordance to the full amount I owed at the time. They deducted according with the agreement until 25 September 2025 but now I'm receiving calls from HP attorneys claiming that I still owe R10000 for the same account I've paid for the whole year. And when I check my credit records it still shows that I owe MTN

A debt of mine was handed over to this company and I've been paying them since june, never missed payment. In November i got another message that my debt was handed over to them for the second time demanding i pay even more money, i tried emailing them asking how is it possible that my debt is handed over to them again for the second time but no response, this guy are ****ming people.

Mtn has got to be the worst network provider I've ever dealt with. I had a phone contract with mtn for the past 3 years, due to the loss of income I was unable to keep up with payments. My device has been blacklisted and account handed over to attorneys(Strauss Daly). I started a new job and was able to make payment arrangements with Strauss Daly. My outstanding balance was R7488,26. I paid R6000 to Strauss Daly. Then Mtn got new attorneys who is currently dealing with their collections.(Hammond Pole), I phoned them to confirm my settlement of R1488.26 which i received an email from them confirming this settlement amount. After paying Hammond Pole the final balance, i asked for a settlement letter to ensure my account is closed and device unblocked. I am now struggling to get that letter . I've been in contact with Hammond pole asking for a settlement letter, which they now state they're unable to provide me with one because I have an outstanding balance of R4750 yet I received the email from them stating that my settlement amont is R1488 26. I have sent in all my proof of payments to Hammond Pole and am still getting the runaround as they can't track my payments. I've been getting the runaround from MTN, Strauss Daly and Hammond Pole for the past 2 months now. Not one of them can provide me with a full statement or tell me what happened to my R7488.26 that I have already paid. This is not only affecting my credit score but also my daily life as a small business owner! I want my device removed from the blacklist and my settlement letter from MTN A.S.A.P! I cannot use my device unless im connected to wifi and that is unacceptable as I have settled my account. MTN doesn't even try to assist but obviously if money is collected the attorneys pay them. Not mtn, nor Strauss Daly or HP is interested in resolving this. I will be contacting the ombudsman as this is ridiculous in a time like this. MTN AND ITS ATTORNEYS ARE ****MERS. HAMMOND POLE sends you a settlement amount in writing you pay them but when u ask for the proof that the account is settled in full now I owe them what I paid Strauss. Strauss just says they no longer have any records because MTN took the acc away from them. Im a frustrated customer. MTN I will never use ever again.
