I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the service I received at Style Bar in Cape Gate Mall on December 18, 2023. I paid a staggering R520 for a blowout, only to discover later that I was charged an exorbitant amount that far exceeded what is indicated on their price list. Upon realizing the discrepancy, I immediately contacted the manager to rectify the situation, hoping it was a simple human error. To my dismay, the manager confirmed that the price I paid was indeed correct. This lack of acknowledgment and assistance from the management is highly unprofessional and reflects poorly on the establishment. In an attempt to make sense of the situation, I visited the salon again today to request a copy of their price list. To my astonishment, the price list clearly indicates that blow-drying for hair of my length should range from R265 to R460, a far cry from the R520 I was charged. The most egregious part is that a Cut & Blow-dry is listed as ranging from R520 to R750, which raises serious questions about the integrity of their pricing practices. It is disheartening to feel taken advantage of and to witness such a blatant disregard for transparency and fairness. As a customer, I expect to be treated with honesty and integrity, and this experience has left me questioning the credibility of Style Bar in Cape Gate Mall. I urge the management of Style Bar to review and rectify their pricing policies to ensure that customers are not subjected to misleading and inflated charges. Transparency and accountability are crucial in maintaining a loyal customer base, and the current situation has left me with a negative impression of Style Bar. I hope that my feedback will prompt the necessary changes to prevent future customers from experiencing the same disappointment and frustration that I have encountered.

I had my hair done yesterday and would absolutely not recommend this salon. I had a face to face chat with the stylist Bianca a few days before my appointment to show her and explain exactly how I wanted my hair done and she quoted me between R1600.00-R1700.00. My hair does not look like what I asked for and I made the stylist aware of this but to put insult to injury when it came to paying she forced me to pay R2400.00 even though they knew I wasn't happy. It's obvious by other reviews here that the owner Vittorio has no regard for customers or what happens in the salon.

For Style Bar Hair Salon in Tygervalley its only about the money and how much you pay them. They easily forgot the times when I do colours at their Salon and pay R2800 & purchase products with value over R1000 not on one occasion but a few times and not to mention my weekly blowdry's, The stylist at Style Bar and I agreed on a set amount that I pay for my weekly blowdry long before Covid.... today i phone them and ask for an appointment, the stylist phone me back because the MANAGER at Style Bar Tygervalley refused that she do my hair for that set amount i normally pay for my hair... I never experience such selfish behaviour, what happened to keep customers happy, what happened to yes we still in the Covid season lets make it a win win situation, what happened to treat your loyal customers fair? Your manager does not know anything about client service, send him on a course, get people that know how to handle your clients, I hope you does not lose too many clients especially in the times that we are in, I also wish your company all the best of luck!

I went for a Brazilian Hair Treatment and it has not even two weeks and my hair is back to being as frizzy as before the treatment. I used the correct shampoo and everything and paid so much for this treatment that is supposed to only grow out, but it is obviously not worth the money that I had to pay.

I had booked an appointment for my mother and myself at the salon.
Firstly, when we arrived they didn't have our booking.
Secondly, I had a voucher for a treatment that was available at their salon, and they were only able to do half the treatment because they didn't have all the product they needed.
Thirdly, my mother was offered coffee and I was not. And then my mother didn't even get her coffee, but everyone else in the salon seemed too.
Finally, after I had had my 'treatment' done, I was then told that I could not just have a hair cut, but had to spend R650.00, or they could just leave my hair after the treatment - which makes no sense to me, as I was willing to pay for the haircut all along. None of this was mentioned in the T&Cs (which I read multiple times) - it stated the treatment was valued at R450-R550.
And to top it all off the card machines at their salon didn't even work, which meant my mother had to go to an ATM to be able to pay for her cut and colour.
Although the man colouring my moms hair took time and consideration, it cannot outweigh all the negatives we experienced.
That is the first and LAST time we will ever be going to Style Bar.
