Possibly the best hotel in the country!

The Taj is the best hotel in all of Cape Town. Perhaps I would put it next to the One and Only, but for a hotel that is half the price, I think that is amazing.

Where to start?? The hotel is clean, the staff are all very very kind and professional, the included breakfast is amazing (multiple courses), the building is beautiful, you get all of the amenities that you desire, the food in the inhouse restaurant is delectable and fresh every. single. time. It is mind boggling how perfect this place is. They even have technicians on call in case something like the toilet or AC breaks. There is no making this stuff up -- they have thought of everything.

I actually do not have a single thing to complain about because they always fix the problems before they get annoying, and they are quick! I suppose that the only thing that I am not sure about is the inhouse laundry service. It is very expensive, and there is no way to get things simply washed and ironed on a whim like everything else (perhaps they have spoiled me!).

One thing that I would like to suggest they add is a car wash addon. I brought my Rover in and they parked it, but I just came from the mountains and Karoo.. my vehicle was messy, and I would have loved to get it spiffed up a bit.
